Triumph studios, revealed the Archon Prophecy DLC not long ago with the awaited Archons returning, and with that the awaited Celestial focused expansion, much speculation followed, how Celestials would look? like the Skull based things of the base game? like the Herald of Glory? Like the classic Archons?

Well, the screenshots showed us, and i can only say... MAGNIFICENT!

Its glorious, really, its as if Triumph literally asked me what i wanted and directly put it in the game, its almost scary.

First we have here this very cool looking Ophanim close to what Ezekiel described, the archetypical biblically accurate angel with all its surreal coolness and in like with the Popefish and Altar if you want to form some scary celestial forces. (Fun fact, Angels actualy appear human sighly more often than as monsters which lead to the next)

Wife Astra is back! The original Archon ultimate unit got her original name and is ready to deliver divine judgment, she is a more standard winged human of unparallel beauty (Biblically accurate for angels too!), she has stylish armor, a radiant thorn halo, her eyes covered, cheeky Triumph covered her barefeet with the army UI, four wings (like a Cherubim who is incidentally higher in the choir than the Ophanim), she is the classic angel and classic fantasy option to lead your standard Paladin armies!

A win for everyone!

This is not the first time Triumph does this, Reaver is my perfect culture conceptually, leaving aside their considerable gameplay flaws, im debating myself at this point if in gratitude i should buy season 3 DLC separatedly to give them more money or if instant preorder looks better in their balance sheets, in either case i would be prasing the devs directly for says if i still hads access to Discord, because this DLC is my dream scenario for real.

Thanks for reading this madman rabblings, looking foward everyone enjoying this golden send off for season 2 in August

Yeap those are pretty cool and what it seems like Revenants would use new Astra rig for their "Astra", also most likely the same thing can be said about their version of Titan.

"faithful are useful but not that important when level 4 tome are researched"
I actually think that faithful scales way better in late game where the discounts matter more, Faithful should be the celestial trait instead of Inspiring killer in my opinion.

Yeah, there is a fallen angel, im curious to see if she is like the old dark angel or if its a total redesign, for what its worth we can only see her wings, and they are badly decayed, at glance that looks like the original Dread Reaper more than the Reaper we got.

Yeah angels and infernal fiends are not different enough compared to dragons to merit their own leader class, all new rulers are non-humanoid.

I like to make custom games with the sole purpose to ascend the camp/WK with Supergrown and Angelize if i want angels rulers.
