What the title says.
Me and gf play some MP games, and each time I've requested help in a war, she loses 2 stab even though it says nothing about this on the screen when she can chose to accept or not. Has reproduced in 3 different MP games so far.

I assume it is supposed to warn about stab loss before accepting...?

I think it's not a bug. It's an offensive war and for such a war you have to pay with stability. If she's attacked, she can call you for no stability, but if you guys are aggressors, you have to pay the price.

Try sending an assassin first, if he's caught and executed (even small nations execute for assassination attempt on their king), you will get a CB on them and no stab hit.

You're a lucky guy to have gf who plays the game, mine hates me playing it.

Yes that should be WAD. Its the same in EUIII. If you join an ally that has started a war you get a stab hit, but if your ally is the one being DOWed and you help them you dont get any stab hit.

if it's WAD, then it should say:
"-2 Stability: Helping aggressor"
or something.
Cause as it is right now, it looks like she can accept without any penalties, then boom out of nowhere...
A little text saying something would fix this issue completely.

you dont get a stab hit by helping an ally in EU3 no matter if he's aggressor or not... Only if the target has same religion or culture, got a truce, royal marriage or military access... maybe something else as well...

Well, I had a CB, declared war and I didn't get stab hit, but when I called her in, she did without any message saying she lacked a CB or anything.

So something is a bug, either the stab hit, or missing info about stab hit.

ps. yes, my gf rocks. sexy, smart and likes strategy games :)
*floats away on happycloud*

could not reproduce this. Tried several differen ways and did not see an ally lose stability for being called into a war they did not have a CB for.

well that sucks...
I'll take screenshots next time I play. (of call to arms screen and stability loss).
i think it's happened most of the times so far. ahh well, I'll get back to you when I've caught in on tape ;)

u tried it in MP btw? perhaps doesn't do it for AI allies... but then MP folks should be having this aswell and can confirm it. hmmm...

what's the button for screenshot? "Print Scr" or F12 or something?

I have seen this before in a 1.1 single player game. I remember thinking that I would have rather dropped the alliance than take the CB hit if I had known. I would have been the alliance leader (not sure if that affects things) and I can't recall any specifics beyond that (maybe there was a truce?).

Hmm... you might be on to something. It's possible my gf was that much more powerful than me...
Gotta test this out when I get back home.

Ok, I think I've got it now.

It doesn't show any negative stab info for "good relations" with target for the one being called to arms!

If pontus helps sparta against Archean League, they get -2 stab out of nowhere (good relations pontus <-> archean)
Same with seleucid helping sparta against archean league (good relations seleucid <-> archean)

If sparta helps pontus against Egypt, no stab hit! (negative relations)
If pontus helps sparta against Tylis, no stab hit! (you guessed it...)

So, joining in a war against a nation you got good relations with will result in stab hit, but no info will be shown regarding this.

and on a side note, if Seleucid empire (tons of units, tons of provinces) is called to arms by their ally sparta (1k units, 1 province) against the Archean League, Seleucid doesn't become war leader...??
They are supposed to right? Got screenies showing this, if u want em...

As Rome carthage took Taurontem (my core). I then declared war on carthage and took a stability hit despite it not saying I would take a stab hit. I've heard tons of people saying similar so it's hardly an isolated case.
