DO VENUS! DO EEET! Terraform the heck out of it!

You should conquer some of the alien races that have a higher tolerance to the venusian atmosphere to begin with, and THEN terraform venus :p

Commodore Coinneach is assigned to command the new Hero class Battlecruiser ESN Hector.

Captain Schuermann is promoted to Commodore and assigned to command the new Hero class Battlecruiser ESN Odysseus.

... from a Destroyer straight to a Fleet Carrier! A combination of seniority and high FTR Ops bonus.

Commodore Octavian Doreius is assigned to command the Attitude-III class Light Cruiser ESN Defiant.

Captiain Moogel is assigned to command the Attitude-II class Light Cruiser ESN Totally Pissed Off.
... would you rather have an Assault Carrier? You have a high FTR Ops bonus.

Captain Jos de Trol is assigned to command the Star-II class Destroyer ESN Polaris.

Commander Forgiven is promoted to Captain and assigned to command the Star-II class Destroyer ESN Cor Caroli.

... it has forty missile tubes, and a range of about 150 m-km. Even a Battlecruiser has only eight tubes.

68,000 kps, yes.

Should we start designing a "Genesis Project Hab", to terraform Venus into Class-0? It will probably take a few hundred years, so if we're going to do it we should start soon.

Do you mean a orbital habitat for the workers to operate manned terraforming stations, or an engineless ship (rather several of them) packed as full of terraforming modules as you can make it?

Neither.

I mean an Orbital Hab with ONE module for colonists (so that it counts as an Orbital Hab instead of a ship, and can be built in factories and assembled in orbit instead of needing a suitably-sized slipway) plus a zillion terraforming modules and crew quarters for the crew to operate them.

A two-million-ton model costs about a year's income, and could terraform Venus all by itself in about three hundred years. Ten of them could do it in thirty years, and so on.

1 orb = 300 years, 3 orbs = 100 years?

Ah. Sneaky. :)

Population in the Pyrrhus Orbital Habitat has reached 460,000 colonists.

Megaproject1: Venus.
Megaproject2: Dyson spheres? :D

I wish.

Development of a new Fast Attack Craft engine based on the Inertial Confinement Fusion Drive has allowed us to design an even faster and more agile Boarding Shuttle:

Pirate II class Fast Attack Craft 500 tons 28 Crew 151.6 BP TCS 10 TH 80.5 EM 0
23000 km/s Armour 5-5 Shields 0-0 Sensors 1/1/0/0 Damage Control Rating 0 PPV 0
Annual Failure Rate: 100% IFR: 1.4% Maint Capacity 0 MSP Max Repair 101 MSP Est Time: 0 Years
Drop Capacity: 1 Company

GB Internal Confinement Fusion Drive E78 (1) Power 230 Fuel Use 780% Signature 80.5 Armour 0 Exp 36%
Fuel Capacity 10,000 Litres Range 4.6 billion km (55 hours at full power)

This design is classed as a Military Vessel for maintenance purposes

... as well as a faster Assault Boat for our Marine Battalions:

Bayonet III class Assault Shuttle 1,000 tons 29 Crew 223 BP TCS 20 TH 80.5 EM 0
11500 km/s Armour 6-8 Shields 0-0 Sensors 1/1/0/0 Damage Control Rating 0 PPV 0
Annual Failure Rate: 200% IFR: 2.8% Maint Capacity 0 MSP Max Repair 101 MSP Est Time: 0 Years
Drop Capacity: 1 Battalion

GB Internal Confinement Fusion Drive E78 (1) Power 230 Fuel Use 780% Signature 80.5 Armour 0 Exp 36%
Fuel Capacity 10,000 Litres Range 2.3 billion km (55 hours at full power)
