I'm very new to EU:Rome, but have quite a bit of experience modding in Civ4 and have been trying to learn how to make changes to EU:Rome. One item I've have limited success with is adding new Traits.
The source files seem very clear and concise, and for the most part, I have my new traits working (by copying an existing trait and changing the data in it, and adding new text to the .csv files, etc). Everything so far works perfectly (Trait shows up on a new game randomly, and my made up Event triggers randomly, as intended), except the image that appears in the character's profile.
I haven't made an new graphics, but took an existing Trait's tga file, copied it, and renamed it after my new Trait (using the exact same lettering as I enter in the common/traits file). It's located in the correct directory, with all other graphics files. But the game uses a much larger image of a generic Roman Bust instead of the Trait graphic that I copied. Is there some other file somewhere that I need to update with the image file location? I assumed it would look in gfa/traits/ to find the image just based on the name of the file, but that doesn't seem to be it.
Anyone ever done this before, or know what I'm missing?
