I cant seem to figure out how to get my system initializer into the game. I've enabled debug logging, and the debug log file never has anything in it, so I'm assuming i did it right?

Anyways, the mod is listed in the launcher, I have it selected, but I cant seem to get it to show in the system selector when starting a new game.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

If you're trying to make an option when creating a faction, use usage = custom_empire (instead of usage = empire_init) so it can be picked as a choice (much like Sol is an option). Haven't delved into forcing it for factions using a random system though, at least not yet, so if you're trying to do that you'll have to wait for someone else to explain how.

Hmm. I've changed that, but it still does not seem to be allowing me to select it :S

Well in any case, here is your mod, take the time to look at the one I'm sending you and your. there are a few changes, but only to the script. the look is how you set it up.

I was able to figure out that the mod file i had was causing issues. It seems as though it was not correctly importing my script. I had multiple path entries into the mod file, and after removing them and just pointing to the base directory, I was able to get it to show up in the system initializers selector, however, it was not able to find the localisation file, which is very strange. I dont really know what is going on :S

Its because you have your localization file named wrong, and are missing the "l_english:"
at the start. Look at the one I sent, you will see the difference. Then to add more systems you can use the same localization file, and place new system names in it.

Hmm. I see. I've made the change, but it still doesn't seem to work.

If I add any of the paths to the mod file it breaks and does not load the mod. However, if I don't include the localisation folder in the paths, then it seems to not want to load the localisation file.

I've changed the name of the localisation file to include "_l_english", I've changed the beginning to match exactly my initializer name, I even noticed that the mod file inside the folder was different than the one outside the folder, and I've corrected that as well.

I just honestly don't seem to understand what the problem is here. I really wish the debug log file would actually say something, but I guess the fact that its not means that for some reason my localisation file is NOT being loaded into the game.

Sure thing, here it is. I've been messing around with some values, so bear with me as i was doing some tinkering to see if various things were causing it.

To be honest, I doubt it has anything to do with the script itself, but... i dunno. Its just been really frustrating figuring out what is the problem.

First off, you custom system works just fine. Good job there.

For the localization file the only thing I saw was a few extra spaces, the first line should have no space at the start of the line. space line after should have one space at the start.

Other wise it looks like you have done it all right.
