adding buildings in map editor

When making a map I want to add buildings. When plopping a gas station down this appears;

Object reference not set to an instance of an object [System.NullReferenceException]

So, how do you add buildings when making a map

Buildings aren't supposed to be placed in the map editor, which explains the error you see. It doesn't work the same way as in game. I really wouldn't recommend placing stuff in the editor, but do it in game instead.

So, buildings are out. Ok. Can There be more, other than default, props added? Would like to give my roads something of a reason to go there.
