The title should summarise it well. I am wondering if there is a way to give a barony, city, or bishopric built by the player a custom name and coat of arms. As I guess from what I saw in-game, there is a list of pre-set names somewhere, from which an appropriate one is picked—possibly based on criteria like the county where the construction took place—and assigned to the newly created possession. Its coat of arms is then more or less randomly generated from the bunch of different elements in the \gfx\coats_of_arms folder. …I think.
I have almost zero experience with modding, and even less with coding, but I assume that importing your own image files and using them for newly built baronies is impossible without very extensive modding, because lesser realms and nobles do not draw on static images, but actively assemble their coat of arms from various pieces during gameplay. Could my guess be wrong, perhaps, or would anyone know of a simple but genius workaround to make this possible regardless?
