I've added many countries in EU3 and I just came up to Rome and started making myself Irish tribe.. And bit for a surprise, it didn't end up well at all even if both games are built on same engine..

So could someone help me a bit? Here is how I did it, same way worked just well in EU3

Common - countries.txt -> add my country and it's revolt faction's txt files there
Common - countries (folder) -> add my country and revolt faction there
History - countries -> add my country there
History - provinces -> set the province(s) I want to my country
GFX - flags -> add my nation's flag
Localisation - countries.csv -> add tag for the country (e.g. ROM;Rome....) and the other one (ROM_ADJ; Roman....)

What am I missing? I have a good feeling it is the ruler of the country, do I need to do something for it as if I remember right my government type was NOGOVERNMENT and ruler NORULER.

Thanks in advance

Looks like you have it all covered.

1) In history/countries you should have two files one for the country and one for the revolter.
2) Governemt type and ruler are set my the history/countries files. Just look in another countries file to see how it is done

A ruler is not necessary and the game will still load and function even if you miss some of these parts out.

If you are using the mod directory you will need to create a correct .mod file as well.

Huum.. Perhaps I've just made some little mistake somewhere.. Gotta try again :D If I succeed it'll mean possibly some more modding and perhaps first mod to share here
