His wife maybe?
yes but who is interested in his wife's opinion about the sexual wishes of the homo-duke?
I know there are many traits which could be abstracted as "bad rumors" but the question is, do we really need more meaningless traits?
So if paradox will add some new traits, homosexual will definetly NOT be at the top10-list ;)

There are seriously much more important parts to improve in ck without define the sexual orientation of characters...

Your wife's opinion about you is not important in a game so full of characters and their interactions ?

Have you played CK recently ? If you get your wife as your rival then that can get a big effect on your game since she might then setup your other advisors against you. Your wife and your relatives and your relations with them play a big part in the game

How is a trait that lowers your piety, lowers your changes of getting a son, lowers your prestige, lowers your loyalty with most of your vassals and courtiers meaningless ?

If such a trait is meaningless then all traits can be said to be meaningless.

I hope we have a bunch of dark secrets that our characters can get. Granted, it's not like they will be common, but if one does happen it will make things interesting. You might find that your best ruler likes to dress like a woman in secret, or has sadistic sexual tendencies (rough pleasure), etc. Usually these would be a prestige hit I would imagine, or something else that is negative.

Since this game is about characters, it would be nice to have all the great things, as well as the very bad things. It broadens the spectrum of the characters. I don't view traits as meaningless, I have no doubt the bulk of them, if not all of them, will impact you in some way, shape, or form. Besides, I like having a bit of flair in the game, even if it's negative in terms of penalties.

Interestingly enough the list is missing

Champion
Guy fighting in tournaments in the name of the king, possibly fighting in his names in duels or increasing his personal security

Shield Bearer
Increasing kings security in battles

Mayor of the Palace
Adding another personal focus (if they will be in the game)

Lady-in-waiting
Decreasing possible negative impacts of kings presence elsewhere (like adultery)

Castellan
Responsible for funding new castles, decreasing cost and time

Well perhaps those were already mentioned elswhere, but I don't know about it :)

I somewhat understand what you mean, but i think that there are already enough negative traits (actually overwhelmingly more than positive ones). I sleep on it and try to come out with loads of positive traits for tomorrow.

For example, there is mod for EU3 that is sadistic beyond my imagination - basically punishing the player in every step. I hope CK2 will not be made with such mindset.

Simply for the pleasure of research, there is a rather huge list for MTW2 (link) for examples. Something I didn't even remember, was that there was multiple levels of traits too. Some of them are quite funny in a horrible way, lol.

My big deal with traits is:
1. The personality ones need to be balanced - either stat wise or better stat traits have more negative events associated with them otherwise players will go out of their way to get those all around good traits and avoid the others like the plague (pun intended for those who know what I'm talking about).
2. The traits need to be different, especially the personality traits. A lot of players complained about the finalized versions which certain traits like indulgant and lustful were basically the same trait.
3. Trait pairs, if they are used again, should try not to always be mirror images.
