In the mesopotamia area there is no rivers, which i find odd, since there are two quite large rivers in that area. How do you go about adding rivers, perhaps a tool, or a file somewhere i overlooked? Im a little familiar with editing, but havnt noticed anything related to adding rivers.

You would have to redraw the map using Inferis' mapediting tool set Magellan.

Not as simple as editing a few lines in a save file but certainly one of the least demanding examples of map editing I can think of.
Wouldn't say so... First of all rivers work as normal provinces, so adding one requires the same amount of changes as adding other provinces. But rivers are also complicated creatures that affect movement between provinces, so extra attention must be given to adjacencies. Also, recreating the borderlayer is not as trivial here as with normal provinces. Finally, there are a lot of myths about the way rivers work in game, which might be or might be not affected by editing.

So, to be honest, I'd think that adding a river into the game is about the most difficult task within map editting - once you mastered that you will possess all the skills necessary to edit maps succesdully ;)

I found all the tools, info already, but thanks for the replies

Yes it seems time consuming....maybe later (read= never  )
