So I started playing as the Blackwoods during the War of Conquest bookmark to try and carve out my own little kingdom during the chaos and all that. As expected, a war between Harren the Black and Aegon I starts pretty much immediately. However, I got an event telling me of Balerion fighting with Meraxes and losing. Since this struck me as odd, I began to reload from a Day 1 save, and eventually but repeatedly got the same event (Ageon's dragon fighting either of his wives' - the "What a Dance it must have been" event). After investigating more thoroughly I noticed that, for some reason, the two sister-wives ends up in Harren's court and serving in his armies during the war, causing the dragons to duel when their armies meet. I tried looking for events explaining why this happens, but my ability to read the code is very low. Is there a reason this happens, and is it supposed to happen so often? Of all the reloads so far, I have had this happen every time except one.

I am using the "Just Westeros" mod if that matters, but otherwise has not done anything to any of the files.

Dragon riders are able to choose sides in a Megawar just like Lords can. The AI is just really stupid sometimes.

Ah, I see. I did manage to get one game where all of the Targaryens stayed together going, so I at least I can continue that one. Anyway, thanks for the answer!

(Also, the reason this was an issue wasn't as much the break from Trueplot when it comes to his sisters joining their enemy, but that the dragon duels very often seemws to lead to Aegon either dying, being maimed or rendered incapable, and/or captured by Harren, and I wasn't sure if his Conquest Spree would continue without the Conqueror. Aside from this, even when he survives, losing his dragon seemed to result in Aegon starting war after war which he has no chance of winning and repeatedly getting his ass kicked by every petty lord north of the Sea of Dorne.)
