One of the first quest lines you get is the Aftermath quest, where you need to send 1 military and 1 science ship to run scans on an object.
In my current Fed playthrough, this mission spawned across the galaxy, which is inconvenient as hell, but maybe the Enterprise counts as a military ship (but it's not confined to warp range), so if that's the case it wouldn't be a huge deal. HOWEVER, this system is also the Naussican Pirate home system, filled with pirates, and I cannot enter the system since they own it, and I cannot declare war on them, so the quest chain is pretty much dead on arrival.
Aside from this, my game is going swimmingly, so I'm wondering if my game is secretly ruined because I can't do this Borg quest chain and needs a restart, or if continuing is fine.
