Exactly, if Macedonia wasn't so bloody huge a province I wouldn't have a problem with it :(

What would folks think of an extremely time consuming set of events which would simulate the constant warfare on the Ottoman border? Bascially, events for specific provinces which would check to see if the Ottomans border that province. If they do, the province gets a revolt risk until the Ottomans no longer border the province.

Conversly, Ottoman border provinces would also have a revolt risk, as they got raided in turn.

I very like the setup proposed by MKJ and think it is the best map for Balkanes up now.

Ragusa was earning money on transport between Vernice and Levany, thus being astonishingly reach in comparison to size of the state. Dalmatia should produce wine, of course :).

I think Georgia is in the right place. Circassia was, like Dulkadir, an unfortunate casualty of the map.

Besides, Georgia is supposed to control the Black Sea, if Georgia isn't in Sochi, then Genoa will be, not Circassia.

If you make Georgia into Armenia and Georgia provinces then that would allow you to simulate the Persian and Ottoman situation there properly as Persia (up until the late 1700s) controlled the old Georgian capital but did not have access to the sea.

BTW what's wrong with making Sukhumi (Sochi) Genoese?

City of Sochi was founded in 1896 :). There should be no port there and the province should be Circassia or native-controlled to be historicaly correct. Both solutions seems don't work with game concept.
This area was conquered only once. By Crimea in the mid of 16th cen. after 20 years of very bloody warfare (it was question of honour for khans that's why they didn't want to resignate) but lost in few years later. Formally Crimean control lasted to the end of 16th cen.

@Chegitz Guevara
I just don't know how to deal with the Caucasus to make everyone happy :). Moving around Georgia and Armenia has its advantages but brings another problems, so I'm not convinced if it meets margin call.

When was Georgia ever in control of the Black Sea. Once Constantinople fell, the Black Sea became an Ottoman lake.

Er I mean the black sea coast of Georgia, sorry. I must have been tired or something ;)

Between 1481 and 1826, the Sultans of the Ottoman Empire regularly made an extra payment to the Janisaries to buy and insure their loyalty. Only the ruthless Murad IV was able to forego the payments. I have to do one event for every Sultan from Bayezid II on.

Do you think for Suleyman and after I should add an "action_b=I owe the Janisaries nothing?" The effect of this would be to remove a certain number of troops (20K+), drop stability by six, and a couple of revolts in Thrace and Anatolia.

I think so.

OK, don't know if anyone can help but:

As the Ottomans (1.07 + Beta 2.3) I got a wretched event upon Persia's creation. -6 stability and permanent revolt risk in any provinces Persia has CB's on (In my case Nuyassibin and Azerbaijan: both provinces I had CB's on).

I don't remember the name of the event, only the choice (there was only choice A... ): "Burn them all!". I couldn't find it in any of the TUR or PER event files that AGC is using. I haven't seen it before so it's either from the patch or from AGC. Anyone know what this event is and where it is (so I can delete it)? My Persian events (now that they're fixed) do a fine job on their own to ensure Persia's creation. -6 stability and permanent RR isn't needed. ;)

It is a wretched event, isn't it? It lasts about thirty years, but under the wrong circumstances, it can be permenant. I tend to edit it out of my save game.

I edited out the RR myself as well (the Persian events already cover that anyway), but does noone know what the event is? We need to deal with it for Beta 3, after all. Every time I've gotten it it ended up being permanent.

It's just frustrating that I can't find it in any of the event files I looked through.
