yes, I've updated AGCEEP also

Does the file
mod_AGCEEP.txt
in the /mods subdirectory of FtG really contain the
remark = "AGCEEP 1.59b4"
entry so that it´s the newest version?

I ask that because I managed myself once to unzip a zip file using the "PeaZip" program with the option "skip existing files" instead of "overwrite existing files" ;-)

I just started a 1419 campaign as Milan, manually triggered event 228007 and became Italy without any province changing cityculture.

How exactly did the error happen in your game?
1419 campaign or starting in 1520?
Started as Tuscany?
Ghibelin, Papist or Force Majeur option?
Did you save and reload immediately after changing flag from your starting country to ITA?

The only obvious change would be for Tuscany that it loses "italian" culture and gains "lombard" and "italian" in that order to make lombard the primary culture of "Italy". But lombard and italian are both defined with city and buildings as MIN.

1) when tuscany became italy by event
2) 1419 (i'm sure at 90%)
3) yes
4) Ghibelin
5) no, I didn't know that must to be done when changing flag (in every of these cases? also with event of union jack for england for example?)

Yes, please do. If your country changes it´s tag, e.g. MLO (Milan) or TOS (Tuscany) to ITA (Italy) and you keep playing the game without saving and reloading all kinds of strange things may happen.

Mentioned e.g. here

or in the AGCEEP FAQ for forming the Kingdoms of Germany and Italy:
Always save and reload after switching country tag!

The Problem with the wrong tolerance sliders is fully solved, if you just take the global_flag.txt from the db-religions-folder in Vanilla 1.2 and put it in the AGCEEP-religions-folder (attached below!) and if you take the religion.csv from the Vanilla 1.2-localisation-folder and put it in the AGCEEP-localisation-folder (csv-attachements are not allowed). Instead of taking the religion.csv from Vanilla 1.2 you can put the text below in the misc.csv from AGCEEP.
...

While doing that will make AGCEEP work for religions just like it did with FtG 1.2 it means that it will lack the added options of FtG 1.3, e.g. like lumping several religions into 1 religious tolerance slider for the Confucian chinese that have 1 slider for "dharmic" that includes hindu, buddhist and sikh.

I decided to give the "Fantasy Byzantium" scenario a go, but upon launching it the following error appeared:

Clicking on "Ignore" let me proceed with no consequences, apparently - however, does somebody know which line (and where) should I edit to prevent that message from popping up?

---

I take the chance to ask help even for another bug: about the famous missing "Glory" shields (namely, Ottoman Empire and Portugal), is it possible to override somehow the problem by editing something, or the only available solution is to stick with enhanced shields? Thank you very much in advance.

AGCEEP 1.59b4 over a fresh 1.2 install, on top of which has been put the latest 1.3 beta from December (I don't remember if I copied AGCEEP or 1.3 first, but that shouldn't matter as there are no shared files, right?).

In the folder
\For the Glory\Mods\AGCEEP\Scenarios\Fantasy\Fantasy_Byzantium\Inc
open the file
Countries.inc
and nearly at the end of the file change the line
controlledprovinces = { }
to
controlledprovinces = { 399 }

That is the same entry as the normal AGCEEP 1419 scenario uses and means that province 399 is controlled by rebels in 1419.

Did you use the file labelled as "hotfix" from that thread?
http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?509577-Version-1.59b4-is-up!

Despite the name hotfix that actually is the latest full version of AGCEEP 1.59b4.

Ok, done - thank you very, very much!

Yes, I did... Do you mean that all the Glory shields should work with that version of AGCEEP? If so, that's not the case for me.

I've even copied it again over my existing AGCEEP subfolder but to no avail. Ottomans and Portugal have no Glory shield...

Isn't there a line as well in some file which I can edit in order to see them display correctly?

Edit:

Upon a further test I just made, other ones seems to be missing as well - Tunisia, Desmond, Cyprus just to name those I've spotted in a few years in game.

No, currently AGCEEP only has 1 complete set of shields and that is the enhanced set. Unless you want to try Plus Ultra (AGCEEP) with the different map. That has only glory shields and none else.

I experienced a similar problem because I changed between playing different mods that have different sets of shields and FtG always tries to use the last set of shields used - e.g. using glory shields in AGCEEP because I had started a vanilla game with glory, using enhanced shields in PV because I last used enhanced in AGCEEP...
I started to force the game to use only 1 set of shields that actually exists for every mod like this:
http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?577866-Plvs-Vltra-Downloads/page7

I only asked because you mentioned installing AGCEEP over a 1.2 install and then installing the 1.3beta so it might have been that you had used the old 1.59b4 of AGCEEP for FtG 1.2.

Hmm. Correct me if I'm wrong, though: vanilla FtG has all the new Glory shields working fine, right? So why isn't it possible to make AGCEEP recognize them as well?

It is not even about some small country which might not be present in vanilla... I mean, we're talking about (among others) the Ottoman Empire and Portugal...

By the way, I tried your suggested fix (as in the link) but it didn't work either.

It is possible. You just need to have someone willing and able to do it. And it´s not just taking the vanilla glory shields and copying them to a folder in AGCEEP but much more work. That´s one of the reasons most mods nowadays only support one set of shields instead of the former 3 of AGCEEP (classic, enhanced and glory).

That is no fix to get glory shields to work in AGCEEP. It´s an easy way to prevent the game to chose a set of shields that is not supported by a mod when you change the mod you are playing.

Ah. Well, I'd even try to do it, provided someone explained it how.

Yup. I came to the same conclusion, in fact... although only afterwards.

Thanks again for the valuable info, by the way.

If you don't have Albrech animosius in the SAC monarch file but you have Animosius as a SAC leader, then yes, we have the same file.

I just had the same bug happen. Albrecht Animosus appears as monarch for both MEIssen and SAChsen/Saxony.

DoubleAnimosus.jpg

I see that Animosus exists 3 times in the files: as *leader* for saxony, as *leader* for meissen and as *monarch* for Meissen.

I have no idea why he appeared as monarch for Saxony too.

Using FtG 1.3 decembre beta, AGCEEP 1.59b4 hotfix.

I attached a picture of Animosus as monarch for Saxony and the savegame (handsoffgame as Incas). The savegame can´t be loaded because the game complains that animosus exists twice as monarch 148503.

The bug does not happen everytime. I had games where Animosus ruled Meissen while in Saxony Ernst ruled as it should be.

Edit: the game actually CAN be loaded. You just have to ignore/click away the error message about the double monarch and the game loads.

Running a Fantasy Byzantium scenario game as Sweden with the latest AGCEEP version (as well as the latest FtG 1.3 beta) installed, I've stumbled upon a CTD the reason of which I discovered by launching the last save I had made a few in-game weeks before:

FtG error.jpg

I run a very slightly modded version of FTG/AGCEEP (just some country colours and the land value for REB tweaked) so I don't think it can have anything to do with that; also, other games with the same setup worked flawlessly.

I've tried to mod the savegame file by canceling one of the two apparently identical entries there, i.e.:

Code:
	historicalmonarch = {
		id = { type = 6 id = 148503 }
		name = "Albrecht Animosus"
		category = monarch
		rank = 100
		startdate = { day = 26 month = august year = 1485 }
		deathdate = { day = 12 month = september year = 1500 }
		ADM = 7
		DIP = 6
		MIL = 7

However, shortly after I resume the game, it crashes again.

Anybody able to lend me a hand with this? Thanks! (here's the save, in case someone would want to take a look)
