Best race ever...

It looks amazing.

I can’t wait to try them out.

Oh and new NPC race too? And the other stuff. This looks like a much bigger expansion than Revelations.
It even has new events and a new end game invasion race called the voidbringers who cause all sorts of problems. Check out the invasions website linked above to see more!

I for one, welcome our reptilian overlords. :)
Indeed this is amazing. I waited since AoW1 for the Lizardmen to be back! They sort of are - notice how on that screenshot where they show the adventure map, the Shakarn units seem to be standing on water without a transport? :D

And the Therians remind me of the original origin story of Rocket Racoon from the 80ies, where he came from a planet full of anthropomorph animals!

I wonder what is that structure near their cities. It looks very similar to the spaceship in the planetfall animation. Maybe it is this ship?
Are the slim ones females? Or is that how they looks like without the armor?
And how this disguise works?

On the unit description screenshots you can see their units have "Amphibian" trait

Yes, interesting. It don't think it is a sector exploit. Maybe they have a strategic operation that summons a dropship? It would be in line with their "invasion" theme. I doubt it would be a unit, rather something like a pylon that summons other units or maybe an upkeep-based operation that boosts your city defense (kinda like Vanguard drones) and this is a visual representation of that?

Also notice those triangular flying thingies above the sea - I suppose those are their flying units, maybe tier 1 scouts? You can see them on the key art and on the screenshot taken from battlefield.

Why a cold-blooded Lizard race use Psionic dmg channel? We already have 2 races that using the Psionic... while the Explosive weapon sill unique to Dvars.

And I'm not welcome the Castatrophes. It looks fun at first, but more than annoy in actual game. I experienced these kind of "random events that affect the whole game" already. Not fun, trust me. When the enemies is at the end... and a "random event" appear, save them and even change the whole tides of the game.

Tibbles said in another thread that they use Laser and Sonic (Sonic being a new weapon group).

I too am a bit concerned about the global events. I think they could be a lot of fun and I very much liked Cosmic Events in AoW3 save for 'Planetary Alignment' (Instantly completes current research) which had the potential to be stupidly OP if you lucked into it at the right time. However with the Earthquake event shown I am concerned by the "A few sectors have been terraformed to Mountainous." With the severe lack of terraforming for most Factions and Techs having sectors randomly turned into Mountains could be incredibly frustrating, especially if you get Fungal Mountains (or worse - uninhabitable Mountains!).

At any rate, I'm greatly looking forward to learning more about Invasions and what it will bring!

I expect the world events will be a setting you can turn on or off in the game setup, so it won't be a problem if you don't like how it works.

They are amphibious movement. You can see it clearly in the Dev Diary where they show the cards for a couple of their units.

I think they use Laser. You can see in the trailer that one of the heroes uses the blinding area attack laser operation.

It is shown in the trailer - and the slim ones are their infiltrator cast, the Zardas. The bulkier ones are the Domok. They mention this on the official Infiltration page. But I am sure they have female heroes too, I mean even the Kir'Ko have them...

There is a Dev Diary? There wasn't one yesterday yet...

The best part of the trailer is when the Vanguard commander gets a giant hole shot in his chest...

It looks pretty nasty, but then you remember that he just needs to stay in the HQ for like 3 turns and he’ll be good to go.
