Cleansing Light was in the game already. It's the healing skill the star guide has. It's a very nice heal that removes all negative status effects and gets stronger if you have more enlightened units.

I don't play in english, so when i'm playing skill name are differents.
 
Drones are so inferior units that can be easily ignored to kill summoner. DC itself has mediocre attack skills too and not great mobility to kite enemies.
Laser drone can be used to debuff, remove shields/armor or outright delete units with the last Laser mod.
Healing one is excellent at what it is supposed to do. The only useless one is the melee drone.

After the recent changes in deployment, DC has become an actually good unit. Sure, it isn't as fantastic as the Harbinger, but neither are the other non-NPC T4s.
 
I still didn't try the "new" DC, but for me the change is huge. Getting to use a summoned unit fully right from the get go changes things substantially, as in a game like Planetfall the sheer fact those can be used as baits or meat shields adds a tactical advantage against AI. Not to mention it can still pack a punch. And heal drone has unlimited uses of heal which is also strong. I can't tell if the "baiting" is actually valid in MP though...

EDIT: Wait a second, I took a quick look and there are more substantial changes for this unit (at least from when I last checked):
- it now has 32 movement (was 24 I belive?).
- it can still move after summoning a drone (action->continious). That means it can attack after summoning a drone
Also correct me if I'm wrong but did drones carry over the DC's mods?

I mean DC is probably still subpar to some T4's, but the changes make this an entirely different unit! This is exactly what I was asking for!

All units that had less than 32 strategic movement were increased. Drones (and the engineer's turret) have always inherited "compatible" mods (e.g. the melee drones won't inherit a mod that requires a laser attack) so discount mods that drones won't be able to use.

Oh, I missed the movement change one. Either way this is a big buff for DC imo. And thanks for claryfying the thing with mods on drones. I hardly ever used DC, so I wasn't sure.

I don't think it's supposed to be public... It says scheduled, so it's probably meant to be hidden until it's scheduled to go live.

Well I guess that is the last time I try to prepare things. I don't get why it is visible if it's scheduled.
 
Wait a minute, did this patch ever make it to Xbox? I don’t see a separate thread for the Xbox change list.
The patch did release on XBOX alongside PC and PS4, I guess something happened which made us forget to post separate notes for XBOX.
