About Mamlukes.
I think when they get that monarch-great admiral-explorer should be another option (D - I guess). That Admiral with warships are put in Red Sea, but gallions and transports in Mediterian. Becouse it is logical to explore from Red Sea. Cos if you want to do colonisation you would pay attention to Eastafrica at first but indian ocean and indonesian islands too... If you became an Egypt - you focusses on eastafrica by conquering and colonise there free provs. But as Fatimids you just conquer north africa...
So galleons and transports will help to qonquer Cyprus and try Crete (is not 60+t too much for that arid island?). In red sea You have nothing to do with them...
BTW - I played 2 or 3 time mamelukes but didnt get those events with wars with Ethiopia, not talking about zanj...
Also I think that there sould be events to fortified capital cos it is border provinse with caliphate. And caliphate acts like OE - beter to not have border with them... :D
Or else - never miss to renew alliance with them or you will be dowed...
In many cases I beter wanted to be their (Caliphate and OE) vassals then just in alliance...
In the begining MAM capital should be strenghten in Sinai event or earler...

In Interegnum Kalmar file quite imitate Sweden. They get lot of manu. But mostly kalmar do not live long life as serious player... Hansa too - their provs is scattered to so many places... Finland too is mostly declining... TO is big white blob with lot of manpower but poor prov - that is that region...
Hungary doing always well... Romans difenrent but never great... Caliphate is nothing special... I thin that there could be event that if aden or hejaz takes soem KOJ prov it secedes to Caliphate the same as Sinai... But Caliphate mostly act as chicken and do not go straightly for jihad but only slowly grabing some provs...

Ahmed,

On the issue of the New World, there would need to be a lot of general support among players of Interregnum for it to change very much from the current set-up. A lot of work and though has gone into the removal of the traditional 'tribes-as-nations' that Vanilla has (Creek etc), the development of the Dichali, Maya etc and the (temporary) insertion of Vinland. The only area where there is room for significant development is with the Chimu and the Inca.

I encourage you to keep thinking of great new alternatives, but to focus for a while on just one area. While we have not officially moved into India, SE Asia and China yet, these areas are where you might want to focus your energies, especially your ides for a revitalized Champa. I like the idea that it would come as a result of religious change spurred on by the arrival of Muslim missionaries, probably from the Caliphate, but not necessarily (typing it to a nation is tricky - what if the KoJ wiped out the Caliphate in a game?)

The thing to do would be to write out the points in this new History of the Champa and we can evelop events based on that.

Ahmed,

Not sure why you cannot simply use the .inc files to know who owns what in the China etc, but anyway I have compiled a file of screenshots for you. I don't know how to post images on the forum (the only method I know requires the image to be on a website somewhere and pasting images doesn't work for me). So, what email address do you have so that I can send you the file?

I do not have game at home (it too dangerous to keep it so near and accesable... )...

I rarred the file and sent it and it bounced back.

All the images make a file that is too big. Do you really need images? Could I not simple write out for you which province belongs to which nation?

That I do not know. The only way I can find to post an image is with the picture tool (it looks like a Mountain in its icon, above) and that requires the image to be hosted on the web somewhere.

About colonisation

About colonisation:
Another thing which I saw as a problem is colonisation. There is too many places to colonise. The huge Siberia (could be filled by Mongolia), a lot of NAmerican provs....
What the use that i have 30 or more colonised provs? One thing what to do is make colonies to revolt and become states but it doesnt solve emptiness problem... Posibly these colonies would revolt and then by refugies from Europe and ROTW would colonise empty america?
Two things what we can do to reduce are of free provs for colonies is:
1) Put some countries in empty provs or add some provs to existing countries. Like mali and Congo and Zimbabwe etc...
In Africa there is possible to give provs to another and there will not be that disgusting situation with that negative growth.
2) Change land level from which is possible to explore incognita from ~43 to 60. So it is not passible to explore land with ordinary troops. Than do not give conqistadors except possibly) for some nations which will use them only to discover siberia. This mean that except coast which will be discovered by explorers but inland will stay landlocked.
This could take siberia out if we wish (but I think there could be fun with mongolia, Manchu and Kazacks as colonisers...)
3) West do not find New World. But it is unbelieveble becouse America was discovered many times before Columbus. In Technology it could be soved that nobody gets warships - But with galleons is not possible to cross ocean.

So what with that that there is always empty provs for colonisation and it is always unfinished? Is not in New world too much provinces? Especialy in North Canada?

Matty, In which cases MP loses control of game to one year:
1) Religion change?
2) Tech culture change?
3) Capital change?
4) Adding or losing culture?
5) ?

I will start writing events for champa. I want to know is there I chance for that depresion of Europe and rise of China states which I proposed for gameplay?

Ahmed,

I don't get what you are asking here, sorry. Please try to reword it.

As far as the China issue goes, I honestly haven't read all of the threads in detail recently. Please can you link me to the ideas you mean?

But in general, material gets in because a number o fpoeple think it works, it's fun and it's plausible.

Sorry,

Thanks,

Matty

I wanted to ask in which cases in MP game human player country is played by AI for one year. As I understand this happens when state gets different technology culture (like from orthodox to latin).
So I ask in which cases this hapen:
1) Religion change?
2) Tech culture change?
3) Capital change?
4) Adding or losing culture?
5) ?

I like your work with Cham, though currently I cant really help anywhere (except writing a few events in my spare time for CAL and Central Asia) I am willing to help you with China when the summer comes about (give me more or less a month).I understand the players had agreed to create several partitioned states in China - out of the blue - however, I prefer another storyline myself which Matty and the rest can consider :

China is partitioned into two Empires - the Song dynasty in the south which is assumingly on the verge of losing the Mandate of Heaven and thus legitimacy for it's corruption, and the now Qing - Ming controlled North with it's Manchu rulers (as in RL i suppose). As you can imagine, both states are somewhat equal, the rich Song south and the Militarily oriented North, all fighting for the control of all of China. During the course of time, both states developed varying degrees of Philosophy, with the Song adheering to the Confucist school of thought and the trappings of an Imperial China, and the Manchu Hanics taking up Buddhism rather openly in government. The song turn towards the Indonesian States and IndoChina for expansion during their period of revival, and may come into Conflict with the Chimurian people - the idea itself of China abosrbing a multitude of faiths - Hindu, Buddhist and Muslim is simply thrilling, though wouldnt make a great difference to the Song. The Manchu on the other hand tend to turn west, throughout the Gonsu Corridor and fighting off the Chagatai.

Many possibilities, unless one prefers the more fractured China compromised of a multitude of states, I can try to cook up a history...

But I understood that we going to make late game intersting with Europe military tech depresion and China military tech rise and superioty. This will turn 1700ths where Europe is thretened and tries to keep its colonies from military tech superior chineese.
But only half chinas would be too much for Europeans... Ofcource they could be crippled, but this new grand strategy draws bright, succesful, tech superior chineese from who Europeans is more saved only by far distance.
Nearby countries would be at good tech too. Champa from china tech group to muslim tech group will go by "Caliphate sends technology", to orthodox tech group it will manage to steal by war with south chineese state bu up to latin it would become when it will buy from chineese those scientists who convert to mutazelitism. China would give tech up to orthodox group to their nonmuslim neiborghs. Champa would give some tech to nearby muslims, even in India. This why china will give tech to hindu. So by begining of military tech depresion in Europe, China become center of tech. Where out of them latin tech would be only Champa and Cordoba. Champa to stand agaist chineese, and Cordoba is just special. But it could loose it, too for game balance.
Also someone need to colonise Siberia up to Mongolia. Ofcource, if Manchu do not do it, Korea could...

Could there be in random events this kind event for countries owning gold mine.

"Gold rush"
"With discovering new veins far from old gold mines, province recieved huge interest from many adventures people who want to try their luck. While this stimulates local economy and gold production, characters of those people and amounts of gold going around creates some criminal activities and instability there, too."

A. More good than bad.

Gold mine +3 (5)
Population + 1000 (500)
RR+1 for 5 years

Also there could be some events trigered by slavery province. Like revolt or RR or BB or lowering population.
