The AI seem to always focus their economy solely on alloy production which makes no sense for tech or pacifist personality empires, this is more and more obvious as difficulty increases as due to their economic boosts AI often don’t even need other buildings to support their Alloy addiction, this late game or in large galaxies results in pretty much impossible to deal with AI fleets on higher difficulties and an unfun, grindy experience on lower ones where instead of playing the game as it should you are having to min Max alloys constantly to even survive nevermind contend.

Edit: Forgot to mention it also always results in alloys being weirdly cheap on the galactic market for their value, which is fine by me but ruins the immersion once again when every single AI is just doing the same thing.

While “pretty much impossible” is more metaphorical. You also forget personally people play the game differently and in the context of many peoples games, if they are maintaining a role or given unlucky R&G, or even just not a “good” player the fleets in that context as I mentioned “pretty much become impossible to deal with”

What difficulty do you play? Im on GA and I dont see many forges on AI planets. Its pretty balanced what they have and alloys are not cheap until I spam them for sale. Might be its an xbox thing, I am on PS4
Currently play on a series X and play on variations from Captain to GA depends what empire and play style I wanna do but regardless I always seem to find the AI have at least 7-8 allot forges on every planet that can

I noticed the same. After capturing some planets most buildings are alloy forges with a few research labs. And it seems the ethics and kind of empire doesn't matter. Pacifists/Spirirualists are producing alloys and not using unity buildings.
