Well, it's not really a Bug but it influences the game and maybe the developers should look into it.

What I observed is, that nationalist Spain and nationalist China build ENORMOUS amounts of militia without even considering normal infantry or anything else. This results into huge stacks and, if there was no quick push in the Japan-Chinese-War or Spanish Civil war, into a stalemate between both parties.
It seems like as soon as these huge stacks are build up, either the AI is afraid to attack anymore or they are really bad at concentrating their forces and cycling through their units while in combat to break the enemy line.

Also japan never tries to do an amphibious assault to lure away some units from the chinese front, but maybe that's a too complicated behaviour for the AI anyway.

They do launch amphibious assaults now and then, but this happens much less than it used to compared to ARMA.

Oh sorry, maybe I wasn't clear on this one. The AI is able to launch amphibious assaults. But in my case, there is a stalemate almost at the original japan-chinese border but there are almost no units at the rest of the coastline in the east and south of china. Japan also has some units to spare, so they could launch an assault near Hongkong and drive deep into mainland china. Therefore China has to take some units from there frontline and japan could crack the stalemate.
