I am playing as the USA on very hard and am having some issues when I let the AI control the supply convoys.
I am island hopping against the Japanese in the pacific and have a fleet based at pearl harbor and 2 fleets based at Wake Island. These fleets have been based in those areas for 3-6 months.
I clicked on a fleet that was patrolling and noticed that it indicated it was out of oil! So I looked at its base of pearl harbor, and saw that indeed, there were supplies and no oil. I looked at the Supply convoy, and it said the convoy was not running because no supplies were needed. I waited till midnight for 3 days, and in that time, no supply convoys ran! The same was true of Wake Island.
So I ended up having to cancel AI control and manage the convoys myself, otherwise, I have supplies, but no oil.
Is this a known bug? Is there any way to avoid having to deal with the minutiae of managing my supply convoys?
