Greetings and sorry in the first place,

I couldn't find a search function to get some information out of this forum prior to posting my issue. Probably someone experienced an analogue matter to mine.
I am experiencing that the italian computer player is creating enormously amounts of fleets containing "0" ships each simulation-day.
I started my saved game from yesterday and now it seems the italian AI is creating 22 instead of 15 fleets like it did the day before.
I actually got hold of the problem when my system seemed a little slow saving 2750 italian fleets... now I am deleting his fleets each day by using the military control.
Any of you kindly got a clue on how to either fix that issue or work around it by editing the save game for instance?

I am using HoI2 Doomsday Armageddon v1.2
and currently playing the NFM-Mod but I doubt that is of relevance.

update: apparently taking mitlitary control over italy will cause this matter.

so its solved I think... now how to get the italian AI to play properly... HoI3 maybe?

Actually, I think there is an update which resolves that issue (ghost fleets as they're called) though I'm not exactly sure which update it is.....

I thought Arma 1.2 fixes that by default. Probably mod's fault.
 
Supposedly the Arma 1.2 patch solves most of the ghost fleet issues, but not all. Possibly, since you have modded the game, the Arma 1.2 patch is not working correctly with your mod.

Also, some posters have suggested that you should not take military control, as that can sometimes cause the problem with ghost fleets.

Forum member Packman has created a ghost fleet remover utility. Link to it is in his signature. I have tried it with Arma, no mods, and it seems to work and did not corrupt my game. Here is a direct link to it on the MODHOI site: Ghost fleet remover- savegame fixer.

Try it at your own risk. That means backup your save games first. I don't know if it will work with the mod you are playing - give it a try if the other things you are trying do not work.
