AI Ever Build Rockets or Nukes?

I've played this game often and as many different countries, and I've never seen the AI build a rocket test facility or a nuclear reactor, let alone build rockets and/or nuclear bombs.

Is it just me? I typically play at "Normal" difficulty.

The original HoI AI dont build those things. In mods like WiF or Mod34 the AI does.

I think the problem with HOI that I've been having, is that the AI is pretty dumb. I'd like a smarter AI, but one that doesn't "cheat".

Currently I'm using the Anthology version of the game (Armageddon), but play the 1936 scenario.

Any suggestions?

No way to improve the game AI without using mods

No way to improve the game AI without using mods

I was thinking of buying Aresenol of Democracy or Darkest Hour.

Which one you would you recommend? I'm looking for realism and an AI that is willing to be more agressive.

In my current game, I am playing Germany. It is 1946 and the Allies have yet try to invade France or make an attempt in Italy.

I could have conquored the UK, but chose not to.

I guess going to a mod is the solution.

I think AoD is the most polished game of the two (as of now), but DH has probably the most aggresive AI.

I like DH better but thats my opinion.
