Hello

I have an issue/question regarding AI use of modules and and the auto-complete feature. I've tried to do a full search through all the files for specific tags but couldn't find how the game determines auto-complete and AI ship layouts.

IS there any way to adjust/mod this? Reason I'm asking is there's mods that add plenty of new modules. But the AI and ship builder will always end up with ships only consisting of armour plating and reactors. or shields and reactors.

I cannot get the AI to use entirely new modules (except for crisis ships and fallen empire ships, those can be set manually).

If it's not possible, can we get a weight function for modules to tell the AI/auto-complete what modules to take. Also a way to limit the AI from stacking some modules incase the weight is high(important). Alternativly, a unique tag for modules so they can't be stacked. ?

Anyway, can we mess with the auto-complete/ai ship layouts?

Strange, whenever i create new modules the auto-complete do use them. There are plenty of tricks you can use to "convince" the AI to make use of your modules, like weights. Keep in mind some stuff use weights, class restrictions and AI personalities requirements so the auto complete with favor those modules and never use your own. The auto-complete also take into account rescent battle results so it will pick various combinations of weapons, armor and shields according to how it went.
