1) Play as Ethiopia or Albania
2) Survive Italian Aggression
3) Join the Allies
4) Watch Italy NOT join the axis, even though the axis is at war with the allies. They should do so immediately.

Similarly, china should join the allies (or commintern, as the case may be) once Japan joins the axis. The wars should merge, so to speak.

How far did you play the game? IRL Italy didn't officially declare war on the allies until sometime in mid 1940 and the Allies didn't take action against Italy when it invaded Ethiopia either. In fact it makes even more sense that the AI would not DOW Italy while it's fighting Germany, why would they want more enemies?

What are you guys talking about. Go read his post again. Think about it. The allies are AT WAR with italy already. That happens as soon as Ethiopia joins the allies. Not only that but Germany is AT WAR with the allies. It is retarded for Italy to NOT join the axis.

In all fairness Italy will end up joining the axis eventually (once Germany decides to ask them) - the same will happen with nationalist China joining the allies once Japan is in the axis.

The trouble is, sometimes it takes a long time for the AI to ask them.
