Almost instantly, after declaring war against a clan, their massive units teleport to my province and lay down the siege... I've encountered this a bit too often.

I want that ability as well...if it's meant to be in the game. If not then maybe it's been reported already?

If it's the teleport issue then it's already been reported.
However, the problem is that you (and the AI) can actually enter the target territory even at peace time.

Possibly, nothing stops you from rising levies, move to the territory you want to attack and declare war just the day before you enter that province. Effectively you still look in a province and then next day you look in the neighboring one...

Looks like the teleport bug. You can use it yourself, but it kind of ruins the game, cause then you GOT to use it all the time lol... it's just too good.

Should be fixed next patch, gotta live with it till then.

Actually, if you try this you'll find that you get a substantial honor penalty added to the cost of your war declaration. I think it applies if you have armies in their lands or ones that are in adjacent territories moving towards the border.

I do not believe it even has to be an adjacent territory to trigger the extra cost. I remember almost losing 45 honor in a declaration due to a random army that was 3 or 4 territories out on the move to some other place. I think that as long as they have a move order that either passes through or terminates in their territory at the time of declaration that you get hit with the penalty.

There are some random factors at game start, not just the stats of each character are not the same for every new game start.
But for example, at the start, sometimes I could declare war immediately on my bordering opponent, next game I couldn't. Some things are just unclear... mechanics are very complex but one thing is sure, neutral armies shouldn't be allowed in non enemy territories. The reason is simple... army means danger to the owner of that territory and it also automatically means LOOTING.

It's like a sort of big swarm of locusts that eats whatever it can find leaving the populace poor and starving even when not really LOOTING the province and it's something INTOLERABLE for the clan leader whose territory you enter into.

I would love for this to be changed, you can't enter neutral territories under normal conditions... perhaps a military passage diplomatic opinion would do... without that, there should be an extremely serious penalty in relations when that happens without permission.
Finally, I think if you rise levies or retinues and keep them in the bordering territories, the kokujin and Daimyo of that territory should IMMEDIATELY react with a major relationship penalty.
There's only one reason why my neighbor has so many men at my border... he's preparing for war. That's another thing that should definitely change in the game.

I'm going to post about this in the main thread as request and see what people and devs think.
