AI vs AI Combat

Is there still no way to turn this option off? Every damn turn I have to wait for the AI to go throw its combat with minor races and the swarm. It never ends.

And I think it may be bugged because when I research sub-space spy beam, I can't see the other combats I'm supposed to see, just a blank screen fighting minor races and the swarm

You are only supposed to see nerby combats not everyone in the whole universe. And yes AI has some problems with minors. I don`t know if th tech works, because i never reasearch it.

Well, I don't think it works in mine because in my primary game with it researched, there were several times where combat happened between two AI factions right next door but I couldn't see it but then every turn I have to wait through several AI vs Minor, blank screen, combats. I know its not a major issue, but it does get annoying after 300 turns of it.

I've actually tried a couple other races, Tarkas and Morrigii, in addition to my human campaign and they all have the same issue. Tarkas started on turn 2.

Is there a way to turn off the minor races? That would help until they fix the glitch. Of course, hopefully the next patch will be here soon, its been almost 3 weeks since the last one.

I do think that the battles with the minor races are a bug, but I'm not sure.

Not that sure about the battle screens though.
Many games "compute" battles, and do a autoresolve. SotS2 instead "play" the battles, without graphics.
This does take longer time, but the results will be a lot more accurate.
I sure prefer this system, even though between-turns time become slightly longer.

the infinite AI vs Random battles will be fixed in next update.

Useless non related post, nobody mentioned hiver at all.

I think he's refering to the fact that deploying gates in each system forces you to be an expectator of everything that is going on them (even if you are diplomaticaly not involved in the matter).

No he was refering to the independent and swarm constant battle bug, which should be patched in the upcoming patches.
