All my saves are gone on Series X

Description​

All my saves are gone on Series X as I've just started the game for first time. 20+ hours on hard difficulty are gone and I know should start it from the beginning.
Give me my saves back pls!

Steps to reproduce​

I started my Series X as usual.
I started the LL as usual.
As I reached the Main Menu only New Game selectable. As I 've never played this game before!

went to recruit purnima: 1st time killed all enemies beat level game crashed no save, 2nd time saved after beating all enemies game crashed during save, 3rd time beat level without using abilities, saved game game crashed no save. 4th time beat level game crashed before going back to hideout no save, 5th time beat level game crashed before going back to hideout no save. Than loaded an old game, did a hiest and game froze during enemy turn on a hiest with 1 enemy left in the whole level.

THIS GAME DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY ON XBOX GAMEPASS

I have a similar issue, except I deleted all previous saves except my latest. Played through the Celestine mission which crashed on exit. My most recent save is now gone and all my old manually deleted saves are back! Love this game but am giving up now as I played some missions 10+ times just to be able to get an exit and back to the hideout without it crashing. So unstable and frustrating.

I am terribly sorry to hear this happened to you ♡ I'll report this to our devs right away!
 
Same thing for me. I was on week 21. I'd tidied up my save files after getting loads of bugs and crashes, so I looked online and found the stuff about only keeping 1 save file.

Xbox gamepass version has been really unstable. I want to like this game but it's so frustrating to be this buggy.

Now, after trying to tidy up saves, there is nothing at all in the game, continue and load are greyed out.

In the Xbox system I can see 3 save files at 256.4 mb but nothing in game, so there's data, that the game just doesn't want to read.

Such a disappointment, as the idea of the game is fun, but it just doesn't work.

I am so sorry Gavinskio ♡ Thank you for this additional information, I have made sure the devs get this.

Our devs are working as fast as possible to get a fix out ASAP. The next update is closing in on its final stages before release, we'll let you know as soon as we have a date and time of release. Hang in there!

Happened again after week 5. Lost everything. Trying to keep save games to a minimum just results in the whole campaign getting deleted. Your system seems to default to the oldest save, not the newest save, which is absurd.

That sounds really strange. I will forward this to the devs right away.

More information regarding this is coming this Friday and next week!
 
Since latest patch it's now completely fubar. Can no longer save at all, crashes back to xbox home. Restart and sometimes a really old save appears, sometimes nothing at all - no campaign slots, no save games. Real shame. At least I got it via games pass. Would be furious if I'd paid for it.
 
This just happened to me, *for the second time.*

I haven't played for about a week and a half - I was waiting for the new patch, hoping it would fix the stability issues... But now I apparently have to start completely over again.

I really want to love this game, but this is getting extremely tiring.

Is there a fix for this? Is this going to continue to happen after every major patch?
