I originally got into modding the game in order to correct what I perceived as being the lack of certain puppet regimes. Along the way, I got more and more interested in the Asian aspects of the game, especially with the time frame extending to 1953. I especially would like comments on the Korea and Vietnam features, in getting the Korean War and Vietnamese campaign against the French working right. In addition I believe there was also a futile Dutch war to reclaim Indonesia. I think also there needs to be, in addition to Doomsday, a "normal" 1945 scenario. If anyone is doing a Korean or Vietnam War project I'd appreciate the links.
A full link is in my signature, but some of the major things are:
1) Japanese surrender to allies event improved! Includes both Yalta and non-Yalta surrender. (Yalta is easier to achieve--do not have to invade mainland Japan--but requires participation by SOV, USA and China in the war against Japan and possession by the USA and SOV of specific territories, and forces postwar events in Korea and China to occur--non Yalta requires China plus EITHER the Soviet Union or both, but also conquest of major cities on the home islands and the postwar division of Korea AND JAPAN is up for grabs).
2) Puppet England in addition to Scotland (Scotland is in vanilla but England isn't)
3) "Red Vichy" option for Soviet Union in the event of an early conquest of Germany
4) Dietsland instead of Flanders
5) TWO VIETNAMS -- I use the IDC tag for normal Vietnam and the VIE tag for the communist version. Ho Chi Minh, Vo Nguyen Giap and Le Duan are no longer in the same army as the rest of the Vietnamese leaders.
6) Quite a few historical corrections in Asia.
