So I open ck2 and I'm hoping to continue my successful campaign that I've been playing for the past few days and when I start the game and I'm on the launcher I see that it wants me to log in to my paradox account again. I do this and I start the game, at which point I'm surprised to see that the game appears to have been completely reset with it asking me to start a tutorial campaign in 1066 spain again, the worst part was that it has completely wiped all of my save games and I can't seem to find a trace of them anywhere, I looked in the game files and I couldn't really find anything but I'm not an expert and I could have missed something. So I've got no idea really what to do and I don't want to start any new games for fear this could happen again. So has anyone else had this problem and if so how do you fix it?

The game itself has not changed over the last few days. And it never deliberately deletes saves.

In the pinned thread above with File Locations in its title, are where local and cloud saves are stored. Are the missing saves physically present in either place?
