All Paradox games crashing after playing for 5 minutes to an hourDescription
PLEASE HELP. I am submitting this to the Vicky forum since its the game I am currently playing, but it is also happening in CK3 and Stellaris . I suspect EU4 would have the same issues, but I haven't played it in the last few months.I suspect it has something to do with graphics settings or drives, i dunno. When i removed vsync and also changed the frame rate, and changed compatibility settings to remove fullscreen optimizations, it seems to crash less...but still multiple times an hour (it was outright unplayable before). Its possible it happens after the game autosaves, as I have been able to play still, since it seems like when I resume a game its usually really close to the crash. I didn't see any logs to support this theory though though.
I have reinstalled the games, I have blown away my graphics drivers and reinstalled them. I have fiddled with settings.
Victoria 3 and CK3 crash to desktop. Stellaris also sometimes crashes to desktop, but 3/5ths of the time it will minimize, then when I try to maximize, it will be a black screen, with what appears to be the galaxy in a small box on the top left. The screen will go unresponsive if you try to click in it.
There are also occasionally errors in the windows event log related to the application crash. It is very rare for the event to generate compared to the amount of crashes, but I am including it in the zip as well. It seems to be an error associated with the applications .exe and the gpu driver.
I included a dxdiag in the zip as well.
There is an exception error in each of the games log as well such as: Unhandled Exception C0000005 (EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION) at address 0x00007FF6A258E871 so maybe its also a processor issue or a permissions issue.
I am straight up at a loss and sad as Paradox games are the main games I play. This started around when the roads to power dlc came out for CK3. I had been playing a non-Paradox game for a few months before that, so I don't know exactly what changed to cause the issues. I've been just sucking it up since, but I am getting tired of the crashes. PLEASE HELP.
