The Gold and Yellow banner was the flag of the Habsburgs, as you are well aware the Imperial and Royal family of the Austro-Hungarian Dual-Monarchy.

[edit: I believe that Alexander G knows the deal with the Austro-Hungarian flags, I just love revelling in their beautiful glory and didnt want to miss an opportunity to post them ;) ]

The Imperial and Royal Family's Banner

It would be nice to have either the Compromise Flag, or the Merchant Ensign used, but I'll take what I can get.

The 1867 Compromise flag, adopted in 1869 used until 1918

The Merchant Ensign from 1869-1918, my favorite Austro-Hungarian flag by far

I couldn't agree more!

Would the U.S. have made a difference? I think so. Had they commited a few landings like the British, only in different theaters, and with more, drawing troops there, matters would have been prolonged, if not tipped in the Allies' favor.

Has the US ever managed to help out in WWI? And have any of the betas, playing as a major, lost WWI?

Great AAR BTW :)

Very good question. I am particularly interested in Russia played by a human. Is this "crash and burn" also as inevitable in the 1914 scenario as it seems to be in the AAR for AI Russia?

In other words, can a human player playing as Russia in the WWI-scenario make it to the end of the war, or is revolution a certainty?

VIVE L'EMPEREUR!!

You take over Mexico in the AAR right? I would very much love to see a 2nd Empire AAR. I wonder who takes over once Nap III dies?

And who would take over when Maximilian dies? Didn't he adopt Iturbide's children?

I'm going to hazard a guess that it depends on what scenario you play. My thinking is that the deterioration of Russia may be pretty far advanced in the WWI scenario.

GC? Different story...

So, the WW1 is over, and I suppose the AAR is also.

So, Sytass, what's your next move?

My next move? Well, testing/playing Victoria and helping with maintaining the Vic boards. As for writing - other projects are sitting on my desk that I want to work on. :)

Well, it's not at the top of my list (Ottomans!), but it sure would be interesting.

I'm sure you'll like whatever scenario and country the next AAR is played with. :)

We'll happily eat whatever table scraps the betas toss at us.

*Barks*

;)

Thanks, Sytass, for this AAR. It was a very good read...:)

It was my pleasure. As for playing length, I'd wager that it took me a total of mayb 6 - 8 hours total for the scenario, but I have a skewed sense of time, esp. when you play in many episodes. :)
