Hello,
I am playing England in a GC in the North American version of the game. I am using the new 1.08 patch also.
The year is March 1515. Spain has an alliance with a bunch of countries and the alliance is due to end in Sept 1521. In January 1516 I check on the alliances and I check the Spanish one again. The Alliance is set to end in January 1526. That is funny I thought. How could Spain renew the alliance when it has not even expired yet? I put the game speed on fast and I watch the Spainish alliance. In February 1516 the Spanish alliance with these countries is set to end in Feb 1526, in March the same thing, the alliance will end in March 1526. As six months pass by the end on the alliance is always exactly 10 years away. How is this possible? How is the alliance constantly and automatically being extended month after month. At this rate the alliance will never end. It is always the same 4 countries and Spain as alliance leader. This problem also existed in the 1.07 version of the game too (with different countries and it was France at that time). The problem also effects my alliance too. I was in an alliance set to end in two years and in January I was checking on this alliance just to double check the date and to my surprise the alliance had been extended and would now end in 10 years. This has happened a few times and sometimes it seems to stop by itself. It always seems to occur in January, if I check an alliance in January the bug crops up.
The other bug concerns the COT and the auto feature. I set the feature to automerchant (or autosend merchant, I can't remember what it is called) for the COT Flanders. After a while I switched it off and turned the automerchant for Venice on. However merchants are still going to Flanders. I double and triple checked this out and found out that when I checked the automerchant box for Venice it seemed to turn on the Flanders box also. I looked at Flanders after I turned on the automerchant for Venice and sure enough Flanders was turned on to auto merchant too. I turned off Flanders automerchant and went back to Venice, Venice's automerchant box was not turned on anymore. So I turned it on and went back to check Flanders to find that Flanders automerchant was turned on again even after I had just turned it off. I looked at Venice again and the automerchant box was turned off again. It seems that when ever I checked an automerchant on in any trade center it was really only turning on the Flanders automerchant and not the automerchant of the intended COT.
Thank you for your attention to these matters.
Sincerely,
Mike Green
