Is there a cap on how many allies you can have?
Currently I have England(me), Hannover, Brandenburg, Scotland, Morocco, Spain, Genoa, Algiers. Most of the other free agents are having fun giving me the raspberry... should I bother with more bribes?

There has been discussion on the forums about limits. Some have asserted that alliances of five or six countries are the limit. The definitive thought (Hartmann) is that alliances consisting of more are possible, but relatively rare. You, obviously, have such an alliance. Whether you can ally with more - who knows...

The more u have in, the more chance that some members or potential members won't like each otehr and thus decline or get out.
