[Best of em all]

Hi im new to the forums and have been having a ton of trouble with alliances. Im "allied" with multiple other nations both in and out of my kingdom, but whenever i go to call them to war it says your dynasty in red and i cant call them to war where my enemies and other nations can call their allies at anytime. Im not at war with them and ive tried with vassals and a king. sorry if im just being a dumb

Keep in mind that not all of your allies are in a legal position to help you. For example, if they are not an independent ruler (let's say a vassal in the same realm as you) they cannot help you when you attack an outsider, but can help you if you are at war with some other vassal from your greater realm.

yes but i allied myself with the ruler of novgord who had no liege with me and i could not call him to war either despite being a ruler and having thousands of troops at his call

Than it sounds like a bug. Could you please attach a save? I would like to take a look at this issue.
