Allied Terror Weapon unveiled, Axis Secret countermeasures employed!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Situarion: May 2, 1941; Germans invading Greece (as usual)

The 12th Panzer Division under General Von Manstein easily captured Chalkis today but found that in fact, they had fallen victims to a cunning Allied trap. The entire province had, in fact, been covered in Contact Cement.

Once the mighty Panzers entered the province and chased away the puny Allies, Von Manstein found that he could no longer leave the province! The mighty Panzers were stuck. All attempts to leave in any direction were fruitless.

Finally, frustrated, Von Manstein called the Fuhrer bunker and requested orders. Hitler, not being the bone idle dolt the rest of the world believed him to be, in fact ordered his General staff to employ a secret weapon recently developed by his dog Blondie. The entire Armoured Corps were "beamed out" of the province, by a still undisclosed and apparently hightly secret method and have found themselves in a strange netherworld -- called a "Force Pool".

Anyone else have this problem?

That's the straits 'problem' in 1.06

- You should now be able to block landmovement across straits/between islands, if you have a fleet there.

If you can normally march into what looks like an island but is treated as an isthmus in the game, then naval units can block the straits and prevent marching but not prevent strategic redeployment. Things were changed to deal with the islands in the Pacific where land units could march around in some island chains while the enemy navy could do nothing to stop this. Now you can stop this.

I believe this has been called WAD despite these discrepancies.

i found in the battle of the greece water ( core though ) that much tac bombers do the trick. in core they have quite good naval attack, build some ju88 and get rid of the british fleets there, then you should be able to move again.

sometimes even the italian fleet intervenes, they get slaughtered but damage the brits so your airforce can rout them.

interestingly this was like in reality as the british found in the battle of crete that it´s quite impossible to move fleets at day time with the luftwaffe have control over the area.
