"Already involved in an Activity" - Grand Wedding

Description​

I have promised my liege a grand wedding with me, but I haven´t been able to host it as it says "Already involved in an Activity" and has been saying so for a couple of months now despite both me and my bethroned being at our courts. Now I have 2 months left to the deadline...

Steps to reproduce​

I promised a grand wedding to my duchess-liege who is also my lover with whom I have a secret bastard son after I killed her husband.

Is either the bride or groom a designated regent? Even when the regent is not actively ruling, this causes the issue you are having.

I have also encountered this issue attempting to marry off my granddaughter when starting as Daura in 867. Confirmed neither she, her mother, myself, her betrothed or my realm priest are at an activity. I've been able to go on Pilgrimage whilst it reports this issue, so that is correctly assessing that I'm not at an activity, but the Grand Wedding still reports that I am.

I am indeed her regent (although not ruling right now), so that must be the issue. But I can for the love of god not find a button how to stop being her regent, I´d love to do that so I can wed her! Is there any way to give up your position as regent?

This is a confirmed bug so hopefully it will be fixed soon. I am not aware of a way to resign as regent (though I really wish this was a feature). If you are not using Ironman, then a workaround is to quickly switch characters to your liege and choose a new designated regent.

That´s sad... Guess I´ll have to fail this grand wedding because of this bug... It would´ve given my child three whole duchies...

I encounter the same issue here. I resolved it by doing another event`(a hunt or a banquet), but it is pretty problematic

Yeah I have been digging through the game files trying to find the exact failure point but have not found it yet. I may make a mod to fix it and also add a resign as regent decision because that should be a thing IMHO

Actually no... I´ll just leave this save here as it is until they make an update where either they fix this bug or make it possible to resign as regent. This save has been too perfect so far for it to be ruined by a bug.
