Lol I got stuck here for a while to. I tried everything to dig around into the room. Eventually I just gave up and decided to finish the objectives to realize the level didn't end there. Just goes to show when in doubt finish the objectives.

Im also stuck on the trial level how do I interact with the red crystals it doesnt seem to do anything when I click it.

[Edit]Figured it out I had to dig under the crystal to get it to work.

Make sure you have a path for your Dwarves --- that is always a key in everything. click it once. A Dwarf will come over to it and touch it.

Edit: Cool! You beat me by a second on this thread and I beat you by a seconf on the other thread :p

I have another question: Is there a simple and easy way do dig straight down? Like you push a magic button and then you can choose a digging area vertically instead of just horizontally?

I found it a little bit difficult to dig long shafts for ladders because every time you go a level deeper you don't see your build orders a level above you anymore, so i have to wait every time until a digger dug the first tile to safely place the order for the next level...

Try this:
Place a dig order and hold the mouse still at the same position. Then press "F" to step down a layer. Your cursor should be aligned directly beneath the first dig order. Click again, press "F", click again - and repeat. This also works with "R" for digging uppwards.

Yea, that's what i did so far, but its easy to accidently move the cursor a bit and then get the wrong tiles selected. Especially because you can't see the selected tiles one level above.

Maybe that's a thing for a future update then? Either allow vertical selections or somehow show indicators to see selected tiles above you? It would really make things easier i think...
