Hey guys! I had to resurrect this thread because I have relevant information: I'm making an Ultimate Showdown ripoff myself! In fact, once I'm ready I might even upload it if you guys are interested. I'd love to know if there is any interest, enough for me to work with uploading in mind. More importantly, though, I have a question. I'm about 2/3 the way, having broken up France, the UK, most of Europe and some of Asia, but the game runs extremely slowly. It lags even on January the 2nd (after all the wars are declared) - even on Extremely Fast it feels like Normal or maybe Above Normal speed - and it takes about 10-12 seconds to switch between days. Is there some surefire trick to vastly improve speed? Because if not, I can understand why Subi just abandoned this.

Basically, if you don't understand something: I added a lot of countries and now the game is extremely slow. I'd like to know if there is some trick that can be used to improve performance. Thanks in advance!
