Welcome to my first AAR !! Its a pleasure to show you my first work and i hope you will enjoy this AAR as i did when writing it. I was playing with "The Concert of Europe" mod, which i can only recommend thanks to starting year (1821) and new events, flavour etc.... In reading of my AAR you must understand this : Dont mind the date on the screens, we know how wars end up fastly in Vicky 2. And now to the actual AAR . I will try to post every 3-5 days hopefully.​

Alternate history of 1914

The World before the Great War / Background

Europe

​

The old continent of Europe. Iberia has been formed 40 years ago and the government has proclaimed their destiny to rule the Iberia. Ottoman empire has been neutral in terms of foreign politics because of the independence movements in their lands but the Ottomans succeeded in crushing the revolts and even conquered some land from the sole government of communists, which is Austria… In other way “the sick german” (thanks to crippled economy, government and poor army).Austria is going to collapse in the near future.
France has formed alliance with Russia ( The Alliance of intérêt & интерес(interest)) to counter the alliance of "Mighty Order" (UK + Iberia + Italy) and to counter the Germany, which conquered Masovia (Warsaw) from Russia in 1875 but in 1907 Russia conquered it fastly back. Mainly thanks to the events, which were occuring in Germany at this time. There were massive demonstrations against the authoritarian government, thanks to this, liberals reformed the entire government and switched from Absolute monarchy to a Constitutional Monarchy and ofcourse created parliament in which liberals had a main voice. Now in Europe there is a growing tension and a diplomatic fight for sphere of influence. The Great powers are using their power to get more allies / puppets. The battle contains Scandinavia, Benelux and the Ottoman Empire. The growing tension has been created mainly by the Alliance of intérêt & интерес(Modernizing army, propaganda, border clashes in Africa etc.). In both Alliances are ruling Jingoists (Warmongers). The Europe is under the horrors of war, but this realize only intellectuals, the lower classes are "clapping" to their governments. Europe has been in peace for 30 years. People forget what is to wage a war on their Homeland..​

Asia

​

Taiping has won the revolution 70 years ago but now the government is fighting with the warlords to proclaim the chinese "mandate". British are still growing their power in India and are preparing to conquer some land from weak government of Taiping, Dutch are growing their power in Indonesia and Siam to secure these colonies for a long time.Korea is under Iberia to secure korean peace. Japan is enormously ambitious and capable of waging a war, but lacks a proper navy (against Iberia which is a main player in this Area). Japan tried to launch an offensive on Korea and Philippines but Iberia destroyed entire japanese navy and imposed a great blockage to stop their ambitions, now the Japan is totally isolated and dependent on Iberian trade, but the russians are through the “black trails” supplying japanese with material, which is used on making battleships and heavy armament. The Region of Afghanistan is waged in tribal wars for nearly 40 years.

North America

​

USA has been shattered by the alliance of "Mighty Order". Their main goal was to dominate all of the Americas. CSA has been supported by Iberia from the hole beginning, in the civil war, Iberia sent the most needed guns and even pushed the Mexico to help them (Note : The Western America never came under USA thanks to Iberian presence. New England was under UK government but was given desired independence in 1910. After 4 years the government has been seized by the fascists thanks to “March on Boston” which forced the acting government to flee into Canada. On 9 of July 1914 Iberia and UK had a meeting in Madrid to discuss the new fascist government in New England, this meeting was a failed one thanks to a growing tension in Europe.

South and Central America

Dominated totally by Iberian Government. Independence movements have been crushed many years ago but now there is forming a new pacifist movement of Independence, Iberia is centering their power and diplomacy capability into North America and mainly into Europe. In 1825 the main rebellions have been crushed by Spain and in 1843 the central america and Mexico have been brought under Spain administration. In 1874 Iberia has been formed in Europe and the Portugal Assembly 3 years ago started to call for a war to set up a puppet in Brazil. The Iberian politicians really liked this idea, but at this time they were already waging a war in Morocco and Angola against separatists. In 1884 there was a nationwide referendum, The Question was an easy one “Declare war against Brazil and put there a puppet regime ? “. Turnout was 78 % and 81 % answered “ YES “ … In 1886 Brazil was defeated and in 1890 The Iberian Government declared themself as the “Guardians of Americas”.

Africa

The Africa became a living warfare of small battalions between The Alliance of “Mighty Order” and The Alliance of intérêt & интерес. Most battles took part in the Libya - Tunisia region / Uganda - Tanganyika region and the Wadai region. Battles always contained maximum of 5K armies on both sides. About 68 % of battles has been won by The Alliance of “Mighty Order”. The biggest region war happened in 1908, Russia tried to seize Tunisia region from Iberia, the russians marched on Tunis. the main city of region. The Battle for the city contained 40K russians and 25K “iberians”, thanks to masterminded general of first Tunisian Army, the city was defended. This Region war started a calling for war in the The Alliance of “Mighty Order”...

The background of Great war​

The Alliance of "Mighty Order" wanted a war against The Alliance of intérêt & интерес(interest) to end the differences in Europe, in other way to conquer France and finally end any risk of fighting on homeland. The tension has been quickly raising at a drastic pace and the people were making the "walk for war" in Madrid, Lisabon, Barcelona, Rome, Milan, London and Liverpool to force their governments into action. So the governments of Iberia, Italy and UK did.... On 16 of June 1917 a summit was called in London to discuss a plan to declare the war against The Alliance of intérêt & интерес.
The deadline of declaring the war was set to 16 of June 1918 (1 year after the summit). Allies and puppets were mobilized and called to wage a Great war. Even though the political power of Madrid and London was strong in their puppets and colonies, there was some diplomatic backlash, but the London and Madrid imposed their interests, in the end of this diplomatical debate the Alliance was “unified” in the course of war. The next step was to seek alliances with Sweden, Ottoman Empire and Netherlands. On 17 of November 1917 there was a summit of Amsterdam which joined the three nations into the alliance of "Mighty Order". On the next day the alliance was renamed to “El Acuerdo”. The Alliance of intérêt & интерес didn’t sit on their chairs idly and acted too ... They seek an alliance with Belgium, the fascists of New England and Persia.
On 17 of January 1918 there was a huge international "Halt of All" (as the El Acuerdo called it), the workers, teachers, politicians, ordinary people just had a big "breath" ... The Japan joined The Alliance of intérêt & интерес. Thanks to this, Russia and France immediately start sending all things what Japan needed in bigger amounts. The Japan dependency on Iberian Trade was destroyed ... Japan in 3 months created a massive navy and army thanks to "Plan d'intérêt pour sauver le Japon" (Interest plan to save Japan). The Alliance of intérêt & интерес was renamed to "Anti Ordre & Nezavisimost' & 自由 (anti order & independence and freedom).
Meantime the Germany was in a political debacle, the main reason of that was the king, who was ill for many years and was not seen on public for nearly 5 years, newspapers and people had a new motto “König ist tot!” (King is dead!), and there was not a capable heir. This putted Germany into a new political crisis.
The greatest intellectuals of the world signed a petition in Paris to show the disapproval with the war, but the war was inevitable. Lower and Middle classes highly supported the war in both Alliances. On 15 of June 1918 (One day before the declaration of war) the political leader of Partido Liberal-Fusionista (most respected liberal politician in the World) in Madrid said "Dios ayude al mundo" - God help the world.....

The Great War​

The Great war was declared on 16 of June 1918. Before that moment, the governments ofcourse called for a mobilization. The numbers of main states forces are circa :

June 1918 - May 1919​

Iberia - France Front / Italy - France Front = A massive trench system was created by french forces on the border with Iberia and Italy where main fighting took place. The Iberian Navy with British Navy imposed a massive blockade on France. The british and canadian forces made a naval landing on Bretagne and Bordeaux, the italian forces made a naval landing on Marseille. This move forced the french forces to pull some divisions from the iberian border. The next month when the bretagne and bordeaux have been conquered under the British banner, the Iberian Army pushed into the trenches on the border. The battle for Perpignan and Bayonne caused 210,529 casualties for Iberia and 123,888 for France. The Iberian Army was now pushing into Marseilles where the italians were fighting. The next course was set on Limoges to secure the southern France, it took several battles with French Army to get there but the El Acuerdo Army steadily proceeded into the heart of southern France. This operation caused 268,666 casualties for El Acuerdo and 126,777 casualties for France. Netherlands invaded belgium with their massive army, which was accompanied by swedish army. The advance of El Acuerdo forces was stopped in Brussel where heavy street fighting took place, this operation caused 236, 561 casualties for El Acuerdo and 126,777 casualties for Belgium(France did not sent any forces to belgium at this moment)

Ottoman Empire - Russia Front / Persia - Ottoman Empire and British Empire front = Turkish Army was badly managed, the generals were turkish, but the army was composed of kurdish, greek, bulgarian and mainly iraqi culture. This caused a low moral in Turkish Army. In the first months of war the Turkish were holding the fronts against the Russian massive Army. But on the 7 of October the russians made a naval landing near the city of Sinop and Kastamonu and the fronts were pushed, this caused a total collapse of the Turkish Army. This 4 month long battle caused 1,891,592 casualties for Turkish army and 2,921,760 casualties for Russian Army. Istanbul was conquered on 29 of October. Ottoman head of state fled into Greece. Persia was being conquered from east and west. Tehran was conquered by British Forces on 16 of October and Persian royal family fled into Moscow. Persia was controlled by British until the end of war.

Africa Front = Libya was being attacked from all directions, the main goal was to seize Tripoli and Benghazi cities. After two months the cities were conquered by British and Iberian forces and caused 49,562,000 casualties for El Acuerdo and 69,549 for Russia. The French deployed over 350K of forces into central africa. This was a serious problem for El Acuerdo, Angola and Nigeria have been conquered by this massive French Army. The next step for French Army was to conquer east Africa, they marched on Zanzibar and next course was set on Mombasa. But the El Acuerdo had a plan, they had only 230K of forces but there was a opportunity to use environment to their advantage . They let the French Army to push into Zanzibar, but the El Acuerdo army splitted and swam through the lake of Victoria, then they marched over this enemy territory and cut their supplies, the french quickly start to fight back but the El Acuerdo Army holded the line. Next week, the french forces containing 250K men surrendered to El Acuerdo Army. Now the forces were balanced and the El Acuerdo started to fight back

Dai Nam Front / Japan = Situation in Asia was catastrophic for El Acuerdo, Dai Nam was conquered in two months and caused 23,444 casualties for El Acuerdo and 49,925 casualties for France. But the Japan was highly capable of invading Korea and Philippines. The massive Japanese army quickly seized main cities of Korea and Philippines, this was a massive achievement for Japan, it marked the end of the great Isolation, which caused a great shame for Japan. The Philippines were a different scenario, The battle for Manila was a costly one , The Japanese lost 189,666 men and the El Acuerdo 120,913, but the main city of Manila was in the hands of Japan and Japan started to quickly push onto south without any response from El Acuerdo.

New World Front = New England was “massacred” by CSA, Mexico and Canada, the main reason of that was that the New England army highly deserted … The people didn’t want to fight for fascism and the propaganda did not work for people. Nearly half of the army did not fight and the next quarter refused to fight, this led into terrible behaviour by fascist commanders, which were shooting their own soldiers to force other to fight… El Acuerdo needed to end the spread of fascism. Boston, New York and Detroit have seen the biggest fury from their enemies. Looting, rape, killing of innocent people (Mainly by the mexicans, who for the first time have seen an actual western modern city(You can describe this as the ferocity of the Red army in 2ww in Germany)), that was the scenario of New England. When the soldiers of El Acuerdo found any members of fascist party (They had a symbol on their chest.), they immediately shot them and searched for their families, which they slaughtered. This action of El Acuerdo armies sparked a massive international outrage ( This was the main reason. which caused a creation of a new International Human rights in a near future.)

May 1919 - April 1920​

Iberia - France Front / Italy - France Front = On the 25 of May 1919 the half of france was occupied by El Acuerdo, the french army was in a crisis thanks to the losses, which army occured before, brussel was finally occupied by El Acuerdo forces and the advancement was set on Paris but thanks to high exhaustion the armies were fastly repelled back to Brussel. El Acuerdo mobilized their forces near the Nantes(Brittany) and Aurillac (Center of France). On the 18 of June the El Acuerdo launched a massive operation to end the war in Europe. This front was a enormous meat grinder for both sides. This operation lasted for 7 months. This operation was a successful one for the El Acuerdo, but a massive sacrifice was made. This operation caused 2,668,444 casualties for El Acuerdo and 3,555,925 casualties for France. On the 12 of January 1920 the city of Paris was besieged by El Acuerdo army. Versailles was bombed into the ground with the present Head of State(He stood in the Versailles to hold the moral of the army at some minimum). The attack on the city of Paris started on 15 of February 1920 and ended 3 days after. The Great Eiffel Tower was brought down and the Notre Dame was bombed to the ground too. Germany tooked the opportunity of russian army fighting in Turkey and conquered Warsaw region without any response. The Russians made a quick peace with the Germany to safe their western holdings. Germany didn’t joined the war in any other circumstances thanks to the political crisis.

Ottoman Empire - Russia Front / Persia - Ottoman Empire and British Empire front = This front was a dead end for both Alliances. Russian Army was enormously exhausted thanks to defeating the Ottoman Army year ago. The british are just trying to hold the line, because of the massive partisan actions in Persia and Egypt, which was trying to gain independence. Istanbul and many bigger cities of Turkey was looted (which were accompanied with raping and killing by russian army), Head of state was executed near Athens, where he tried to hide. This was a big blow for the spirit of turkish people. This point is known as the “Decline/End” of the Ottoman Empire.



Africa Front = The debacle of french army was an end to the alliance of Anti Ordre & Nezavisimost' & 自由 in Africa. The El Acuerdo conquered all of the French and Russian Africa.


Dai Nam Front / Japan = This front was a LOST one for the El Acuerdo. Korea, Philippines, Taiwan were in the hands of Japan. The ships were needed elsewhere, so the japanese had a free hand in conquering. The only area, where the japanese could not stand a chance was Dai Nam (Vietnam). But japanese were ambitious and nothing could stop then now. On 26 of June 1919 japanese launched a massive invasion into Siam and Vietnam. El Acuerdo underestimated the japanese … Japanese army quickly conquered all of the Siam and cut the El Acuerdo armies in Vietnam from the supplies. 72,200 men surrendered to japanese army. Then the vengeance happened. The japanese splitted iberian contingent from the El Acuerdo army. 43,692 iberian men were slaughtered, butchered, executed, tortured… Japanese army (and the people too) hold a massive anger against them thanks to the great blockade. The british Raj was mobilized and a plan was made. A defensive one, japanese army was now very strong and capable, even defeating the armies of El Acuerdo thanks to initiative skills of japanese generals. Last stand defenses were made on the borders of Burma. Thanks to the brave indian forces the front was holded, japanese advancement was stopped. This whole operation of japanese caused 123,529 casualties for Japan and 297,563 casualties for El Acuerdo army.

April 1920 - August 1920​

The End of the War and Peace Talks​

Europe

After the fall of the Paris, the French government was forced to surrender, the king was dead, the parliament was in ruins. The El Acuerdo called for a ceasefire between the powers, Japan and Russia (the only states, which haven’t capitulate to this date.) accepted, because the war exhaustion was highly presented, Russia was stagnating to maintain their massive russian army and supply to Japan. The next day the El Acuerdo called for a preparation of peace talks, these talks were held on 27 of February. The Russians and Japanese accepted the holding of separate peace talks in the upcoming months thanks to status Quo in Turkey and Japan situation in Asia. One month later the El Acuerdo decided to hold a peace talks in Paris, which contained France and Belgium. The alliance had a great challenge in front of them. The peace talks were held on 14 of April 1920. The first question was “What to do with France?”. There were 2 plans. The first one was proposed by UK, and it was the more radical one, it was mainly about humiliation of french people, destroying their economy and destroying their capability of production. The second one was proposed by Iberia. The plan stood on allying with french people and to make the France a proper loyal member of the Alliance. This plan was highly supported by other members (Mainly Italy and Netherlands). The UK wasn’t satisfied with this plan but in the end they backed down from their plan. The France was divided between the victorious powers to maintain loyal order and imposed the “friendship” strategy. The puppet government of France was left with the Île-de-France region etc. The El Acuerdo alliance forbidden any looting or cruel treatment with french people, there were some accidents by english army but the government condemn these actions. French people mobilized some revolutionary groups, which were doing some attacks against the occupiers, but the french government condemn these actions and was actively trying to destroy these revolutionary movements.

Belgium was totally annexed by Netherlands. Dutch government made a greater autonomy over wallonia and flanders to satisfy their regional needs and keep them in the new state. This direction of dutch government was a successful one and the wallonians with flemish accepted the rule of dutch government. Russia, New England and Japan were not discussed in this peace talks thanks to their separate talks.

Straßburg Conference

This was a shocking moment for the World. Mainly for the victors of Great war. It was a unbelievable event. The Germany invited the El Acuerdo alliance into Straßburg for accession talks about joining itself into the alliance. The El Acuerdo members ofcourse accepted the invitation and their heads of state accompanied by their ministers headed into Straßburg where they were going to meet the new German Head of state and the liberal government.


NOTE : The Germany thanks to not having a capable heir to the throne after the dead of the King, the liberal government decided to make a referendum with a simple question: Abolish Monarchy and become republic ? Accompanied by simple answer : Yes or No. German people deciced to abolish monarchy and make a new liberal republic.

Germans wanted to be a part of a greater Alliance or as it was looking “The New Conservative-Liberal Order”. El Acuerdo members were ruled by conservatives, liberals and socialists. The members thanks to this had a close opinion and idea in many areas. In other words, the Alliance lived mainly not by “enemy of enemy is my friend” but mainly from cooperation and progress.

The accession talks were held on 27 of April 1920 (The Paris peace talks have already ended). The only bigger obstacle of joining the Germany into the alliance was the assimilation of polish people. The Alliance demanded a greater autonomy over Poland and a creation of national assembly, which could make separate laws and which would work for the good of the polish people. German government accepted the offer (In the course of the next 15 days the autonomy and national assembly was delivered to the polish people.). On the second day of the accession talks the name for the Alliance was going to be discussed again. The Alliance of El Acuerdo was renamed to “Trans Atlantic Commonwealth” (TAC). This Alliance would make the first steps for a closer economical union of these states in the future. In the course of the next two months next nations would have joined the TAC, These were Romania, Bulgaria and Greece.

Russia // Middle East
​

After the Straßburg conference the peace talks about Russia and Middle east were going to happen. The peace talks were held on 25 of June 1920 in Istanbul. The Ottoman Empire was in the biggest crisis and was forced to dismantle itself into various states. Greece, Kurdistan, Iraq, Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Bulgaria declared independence and were highly influenced by TAC and Russia. Greece, Bulgaria, Kurdistan and Iraq joined TAC to protect their independence against Russian influence, Russia tried to stop Bulgaria and Greece from joining TAC but TAC warned that it will not ratify the peace treaty and the war will not end, Russia backed down. Persia was puppeted by the UK. Russia annexed some regions from broken Turkey, which was now finding its future (The people had broken spirit and broken government.). Turkey were in Russian sphere of influence and many russians moved into Istanbul to revive the orthodox spirit of this old city. The city was renamed to Constantinople and in the course of next 5 years the city was dominated by russian culture and annexed into Russian Empire.

Africa​

The continent was in the full control of TAC. French and Russian colonies were brought under British and Iberian control. Iberian government set a bigger autonomy over all colonies in Africa, but the british colonies were a different scenario, british wanted to maintain their colonies forever but it was not a real scenario mainly thanks to independence rebels in Egypt. In other words the growing desire of independence was looming, in the next upcoming years, the states of africa could actually gain independence peacefully or by force.

So Britain in this timeline manages a cross-Africa Empire - only East-West rather than North-South.

Asia​

Japan was the victorious in this part of the World. The Japan Empire now had the strongest navy and army in Asia. The european powers couldn’t stop the fact, that they didn’t have the capability to ensure peace in asian colonies (the colonies were starting to move into enemy side through the war to gain independence). The Japanese knew this and used this power in peace talks. The peace talks were going to be held on 22 of July in Tokyo. The Japanese demanded several things and land. The main demand was the “Leave and neutrality” treaty. This treaty would force TAC out of Asia and grant independence to many colonies and a greater autonomy in India. TAC highly oppose this but they knew that the Japanese can conquer the India if they wanted to ( but with high casualties). After a week of talks the TAC signed the treaty. The final signed treaty composed of :

• TAC must not interfere in Asia in terms of influence and politics
  
  
• TAC must grant independence to : Indonesia, Burma, Bengal, Siam, Malaya, Dai Nam, Tibet, Assam, Bhutan
  
  
• TAC must grant bigger autonomy to several states in India (Hyderabad, Kashmir, Nagpur etc.)
  
  
• TAC cannot cross the bengal delta by any means.
  
  
• TAC must hand over : Taiwan, Korea, Philippines, ports in China, islands in atlantic ocean
  
  
• Australia will be given special status. Australia will be neutral but only interaction with TAC can be trading
  

The treaty was ofcourse humiliating for TAC but TAC wanted to ensure peace and progress in Americas and Europe and could not focus on Asia. In upcoming years Japan maintain the control of Asia and annexed Taiwan and several colonies. Korea and Philippines were made as puppets to Japanese government. Indonesia, Siam, Dai nam, Bengal and Burma joined to the side of Japan but these states were highly depended on Japan too. TAC as we said couldn't focus on Asia, so the Japanese had a free hand in Asia for next 40 years.

Americas​

This peace talks were held on 21 of August in Richmond(Main city of CSA). The only state opposing to TAC was New England which was massacred in every way....Boston as the “cradle” of fascism was razed to ground by CSA, Canadian and Mexican Army. TAC condemned these actions (secretly they gave the order) but in the end it was good for them because of the “destruction” of radical fascists. New England was partitioned between the victorious states, British handed over the territory in north America to Mexico, Canada and CSA. In the course of next 10 years fascists were prosecuted and executed. ….. TAC wanted to ensure that fascism will never come back, they were that worried because of the rising fascism in several american states. These movements were quickly putted down and forgotten, the only exception was Chile where fascists got into parliament through democratic way. TAC condemned this and sent an ultimatum to Chile government to ban fascist party (as was done in every TAC state), Chile accepted and sent the leaders of fascist party to Iberia court where they were sentenced to death because of the “ Pursuing non-progressive ideas “.
