I looked for infos about a possible Altmark CoA. First, I wasn't that successfull, all I could find was new material. I guess one has to concentrate on the cities of Salzwedel and Stendal since there wasn't any County of Altmark or something (most of the time, Altmark region was ruled by Brandenburg counts).

Does anyone has more info on this? I really would like to see a better CoA for Altmark in the game.

In this case, the following CoA might fit:

City of Magdeburg:

Current CoA of Archbishopric Magdeburg:

Lower right part origins of Bishopric Paderborn where Madgeburg belonged to from 1821 to 1994. Upper left are the colours of former Archbishopric Magdeburg (which went down during the Reformation). Unfortenately, that's all I got, no info on previous CoAs. :(

I made some research about Altmark for the 1.08 patch for EU2, this is the best I could find....

The eagle is the eagle of Brandenburg, as the majority of the county was part of Brandenburg since 1807. The eagle was also part of the arms of Gardelegen and Salzwedel. The lion is the lion of Lüneburg as the former county of Klötze historically was part of Braunschweig-Lüneburg. In 1815 Klötze was taken from Prussia and transferred to Sachsen. The last quarter shows a figure which has been used by Albecht dem Bären as a symbol for the Altmark
