Amazing Disappearing Savegame

Hey all,

I'm running HoI2+Doomsday+Armageddon with the latest beta patch, and I've been playing an online game with a couple of friends. My problem - when I loaded up HoI2 today, only days after we started, the savegame wasn't in the menu. I then checked the directory to discover that I had no HoI2 savegames at all, no autosaves or games I'd saved myself. I have CORE installed seperately, this does have its saves still.

I know that's massively random, but - any ideas?

Let me guess:
Vista and installed the game in Program Files?

(In which case, I know there's a directory (user files or somesuch? I don't run vista) that will contain the savegames)

You're right, but I can't seem to find where - I ran a search and it turned up nothing, and I don't see it in my documents...

You probably logged in as Admin to install it... are you using the same login? That affects which "My Documents" you can see.

Same login. The only thing that I can think of that's happened since I played that savegame is that I've installed vista SP2. Thoughts?
