Really interesting to see what the devs think did and didn't work in CKII. Mentioned a few things already, but minor epidemics was a new one in this article. It will be interesting to take stock later on when CKIII comes out.

I'm feeling relaxed about a potential loss of baron-level vassals and things like an Archbishop controlling all churches. I suspect this is another of the things that didn't really work out in CKII. The only time anyone ever mentioned baronies is when they're blocking achievements/Roman Empire requirements. In that sense they were a hassle.
 
maybe a powerful archbishop would make people actually want to build churches too, since no one ever did that in CK2, if the churches somehow kept the archbishop loyal or fulfilled some sort of demand. I only made churches in CK2 when I was pretty much forced to to continue developing a province

Yeah, I only did it when I was in a holy order and they asked me to.
