Description​

After playing Ironman mode for a while, there is a chance that you will encounter a pop-up error report and fail to save if you choose to exit to the desktop or exit to the main menu. I played Switzerland and Prussia and had the problem three times in one day, so I didn't think it was a small probability event and decided to take a report.

This is the file from the last time I crashed, and it's the same operation, Iron Man mode clicks to exit to the desktop causing a crash, providing you guys with hope that helps

Hello! We're not sure what you mean by "Iron Man mode clicks to exit to the desktop causing a crash". Does the game crash on saving the game? The savegame itself appears to work fine and saves properly on our end.
The minidump sadly doesn't contain any information, so it could be some kind of memory or antivirus issue.
Moving the thread to our Technical Support forum. Hopefully they'll be able to troubleshoot the issue.

From that error log I'm pretty sure you have a corrupted game installation, and you may be low on available memory too.

Please do a full clean re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-Vic3
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/Victoria3 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria3 folders - In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam Victoria3 or Documents Victoria3 locations, before installing again.
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add Victoria3.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.

THEN please expand your Windows paging file maximum size to at least 32gb

Optional: Increasing the paging file size on Windows computers

On computers that have 8 GB of RAM, the suggested paging file size is 16 GB.

Then test with a new campaign, NOT any existing one. Is that any better?
