Well, I've been playing EU for a couple of days now (2) and I'm having problems with damn annexation. I'm playing with Turkey, and I have accepted the task to "Annex Marmelux". Ive been reading something in this forum (about the MAJOR nations and stuff), but Marmelux ISN'T a major nation (you cant choose it to play with it). I've conquered and I control every single of their provinces and nothing happens...
What to do?

P.S.: It's "Age of enlightement" scenario...

When you say "nothing happens" did you actually go to the diplomacy screen and ask to make peace? If you do you should get a window that says you can annex Marmelukes. If that option doesn't come up it might be because Marmelukes are in an alliance and still think they can win this war; although that is unlikely. You should, if you have conquered all of Marmelukes territory; be able to annex them.

Possible problem

One possible problem is if you are not the leader ofthe alliance, then you cannot annex the Mameluks. For some reason, the game will not allow you to annex if you are not the leader of the allinace in the war in question. This was a rude surprise to me in one war.

Mil Annexation

1-You are leader of the alliance.
2-They are not a Major Nation.
3-Control every one of enemy's provinces.
4-Make sure they do not control any of your provinces.
5-Click "Offer Peace" in diplomatic screen.
6-The message on the left should say something like, "You have won a crushing victory and have the option to Annex them completly. Do you wish to do this?"
7-Click Annex.

If that message does not appear, see #1, #2, #3. or #4.

Just as Secret Master said, I once controled all of Poland_Lithuania in a blood thirsty war when I suddenly remembered that they were a Major Nation.

Yes, leader of the alliance is important...

If your ally declares war on someone else, then you cannot annex anyone in the war, unless seperate peaces have been made ad you are no longer in an alliance war. Its only a factor every once in a great while, but it can catch you by surprise.

It probably didn't happen to me yet. Normally when I am doing great in an alliance war, my alliance leader makes peace, before I have the chance for a peace agreement myself.
