Hello,
I was wondering if there is a mod that would make it possible to force annex a country that has more than one province? Even better to conquer a capital city and force that country to move it elswhere coz it ain't their property anymore. Or to make it possible to become owner of a province without peace agreement? It is UNBELIEVABLY RIDICULOUS to conquer a WHOLE 20 provinces big country, annihilate all of thier armies just get those 2 provinces in a peace agreement. I mean theyre completly conquered, they have nothing to say on those peace negotiations. or to have endlesly loot a province because your oponent dosent agree for you to own it even though you control it for 20 years. Or having to make a desant in north america and grab english colonies to become owner of london.
If any of you know a mod that provides any of those features I would be very grateful if you post a link. Thanks in advance.

no, it doesn't exist and won't exist, that feature is hardcoded in the game.
you can annex totally only pagan nation.
go in the savegame and change their religion :)

And you also won't have BB if i rember well :)

if he plays an european country annex a pagan one doesn't give BB, at least they say so :D

if you on same continent as the nation you annex, no matter if pagan, you still get the BB ; however 1/province even if its only the capital left

ridicolous?
well it's not logical, i have to admit.
but its for the balance. you know that you could easily conquer the whole world in 200years if you could annex any nation that fast.

and OF COURSE YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY! because in EUII you can only not annex the big nations like france and great-britain: but in EUIII you cant annex ANY european nation if it has more than 1 province - so you cant annex bavaria for example as long as it has more than 1 province. i would like to get back the system of EUII, i liked it more and found it to be more logical.

it is hardcoded indeed+ myself for once i think it IS more realistic NOT to get too much from a country THAT is especially big; one main KNOWN example; prussia 1871 beating france and grabing only alsacia and lorraine

the reasoning goes like this: if you compleatlly killled and occupied a country especially a big one, that does NOT mean you conquered it...it means you beat the RULLING CLASS( monarch's army). even poland took practically 4 partitions to destroy it and even then it had theoretical independence as warshaw duchy... the only way to grab more is if you incite a REVOLUTION where that specific culture you conquering revolts against its own rulling class . and that is VERY GOOD coded in eu2 by meaning of GOVERNMENT collapse ;)

add to it that no ruler, no matter how barbarian, would well know that he can not rule another BIG country unless temporary and would ALWAYS use PRETEXTS as happened during war of religions, etc...now maybe ghenghis khan makes an exception here but he was not around in the eu2 time frame :D

furthermore, i love how eu2 reflects reality by means of "bb" points( on very hard options); if want to do well must assimiliate slow as proportionate to the importance your culture has in europe. tested all possible european countries and not only, and indeed , with france, spanish culture nations you would always extend the most( keeping count you always want to be the leader in tech and progress overall ;) ); then germans follow( wich should come in first but becouse its divided dynastic orders never historically managed much in this time frame), anglosaxons and polish when combined with lithuanian/ruthenian culture. ottos of course as well but only becouse it's cultural conglomerate

also no monarch rulling class would recognize you as having the "crown" of any culture as long as that has not agreed first by diplomatic or "unional" means :D
