annexing Netherlands

Hi,I'm playing as England and have reduced Netherlands to only their capital.But even if I control that,I cant military annex them 'cause they have many colonies over the entire world.Do I have to get all their colonies before I annex them,isnt there a simpler way?Can I block their colonists?Does Ireland get colonists?

Yep, you have to get all his colonies and cities.

No, you can't block their colonists

Ireland can get colonists, if he changes his state religion to one what gives colonists or build a shipyard.

If you mean "can I send colonists to Ireland", the answer is yes unless the provinces have increased the population of their main city to over 5,000 (which is unlikely). This is an easy way to convert Ireland.

If you are playing as Ireland in the IGC, then I believe they will get colonists if you switch to protestantism, etc.
