Not sure if I like the magelock changes. But then again I suppose having a take aim button could throw some people off if they aren’t used to it and it’s the same as the Planetfall snipers. I’ll have to play with it to really see if I mind or not. But still I am going to miss that little loading animation my line of magelocks would do before obliterating some poor large unit who can’t dodge bullets
I haven't accessed the beta yet, can you describe the changes in full regarding the magelocks? Is it for pistol or Rifles variants?

It’s just the rifle variant I believe? And the unit Magelock. Basically they had an ability called take aim which was a three pip action that left one pip for you to attack that gave you an 80% accuracy bonus. Which made Magelocks really accurate because the base to hit wasn’t…that bad, like 60%. And it would do full damage since they only had one attack. So you could reposition your magelock and it wouldn’t be to bad.
Anyway, the beta has it like the Snipers units in Planetfall. You have a three pip shot that has 100% base accuracy (which is not as accurate as you are thinking) and a “snap shot” ability that costs one pip that does less damage and is less accurate. I don’t know how good it’s going to be but I’m already dreading the return to on the most viable thing to do is teleport directly on top of the magelock. Because even if he can attack me by moving it’s less damage because snap shot is less accurate and less damage than the full shot. (I mean it’s still better than not being able to fire at all but ehh.)
Which was kinda nerfed when your magelock could move one hex away and hit the guy with a full power shot that was still reasonably accurate and did full damage. idk! Like I said i’ll have to get my hands on it to see if it’s good or not.
