Hi,

I find the name of this Kingdom kind of boring (no offense), and I can't imagine that the people in the middle ages would give it this title, not because they were more creative of course :). But since they only knew the northcoast of Africa and had no clue about a south africa. So they never talked about North Africa but just Africa. So I want to come up with a different name for it.

I myself am thinking about Kingdom of Numidia, as this was the name of the Roman province that makes up a part of the Kingdom. I also thought about the name Carthage but that would be more appropriate for the kingdom of Tunisia.

Does anyone have any other idea's?

Of course it is not important for gameplay, just for the flavor

Berberia?

I edited it in my as Kingdom of Romans and Mauri which existed "only" about
400 years earlier, but at least it sounds better than kingdom of North Africa.

Berberia is fine, but would for example norman or rhomaion king of that region call it Berberia. Latin name for that region would maybe suit better or Numidia, only if it did exist about 150 bc

Actually Algiers is the western part of North Africa. Eastern part is better as Morocco. Berberia is just the name of the indiginous peoples and made up of tons of tribes....if you go with that president than most of Iberia should be under the classification of "Kingdom of Mooria"

Well currently western part of northern Africa (modern day Morocco area)belongs to kingdom of Mauretania, while the area of about modern day Algiers is currently kingdom of North Africa. It would be good as Algiers.

Berberia is indeed the name of the tribes there, so christian latin rulers wouldn't name their kingdom that way.

Algeria sounds to mondern and more like an Arab kingdom.

Nice to know that my suggestion about Numidia was already made by someone else in the bugfix.
:)

well, if Berberia is to local, how about 'Vukojebina'?

i'm sure that any croat crusader king of that era would call those lands by that name

You're asking for trouble. ;) :p

You can use the Kingdom of Maghrib. Since Maghrib was a region that included Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco.

From west to east I´d call the possible kingdoms Mauretania, Numidia, Africa, Cyrenaica and of course Egypt.

CK is unabashedly eurocentric so I´d stick to names taken from the Roman provinces.
