Finally a Wargame without cluster artillery and guided missiles. I cannot think about a better game based on ww2 to play.
Just don't make France OP when you make a dlc about them pls.
Also are naval battles going to be in the game? In ww2 they can be really fun, ahistorical in that date though.

No ATGM missiles indeed. As for cluster artillery, none either ... but I hope you don't hold any particular grudge against 350+mm naval guns?

Don't worry, France will be there from the start.
And we'll even have Leclerc (no kidding!).

I may be wrong, but they were supplied a lot by other nations no?
Of course but, at different level, just like every other nations.
On the Allies side, every nation is supplied by the USA: you'll find Shermans, half-tracks, Priest, jeeps, ... in every nation.
France is equipped solely by the USA, while Britain retains some good amount of its own equippment, while Canada & Poland are supplied by the UK (including with US stuff).

Yet, some divisions were missing a few stuff, or had tinkered/kept/added some others. Then you've got the Phase concept.
Wait a bit, and you'll see that, even with more or less similar equippement, they can be set appart ...

.....expansions.

And between RO and IL2, I've spent enough time in the last decade or so playing in the frozen wastes and wheatfields.

The detail they're putting into Normandy has me drooling.

Mad_mat, what will be with France? She will prisutsyatvovat both on the party of allies and on the party of an axis, by analogy with GDR and WGermany were in WP and NATO?
No, unless we once make a game about Operation Exporter (aka Syrian Campaign) in 1941, there is no reason to model Vichy troops.
Vichy made its best to remain neutral, and only fought (in Syria, against the Allies) when attacked. In Syria, Vichy commander even refused German assistance in order to retain its neutral stance.
Aside from that, the only Vichy units to see combat were secutiry ones against partisans.

Well, there is also Madagascar against the Brits [with Japanese naval "support", eg submarines] and of course if you put a Thai DLC you have the very famous French-Thai war where Vichy did some offensives.
Totally needed !

Thailand wasn't exactly part of Axis, I didn't mentionned it. Yet it would be fun, with Thai troops dressed in French uniforms, with French FT tanks + some light Japanese ones VS French Légionnaires in colonial helmet, with FT-17 too.
A real WW1 reenactement.
