Is there a mod out there that makes battles end faster instead of dragging my men away from the country just to end a battle. Also it would be cool if I could use my old save games. Cheers dudes

Keraunos' New Improved Military Mod v1.1 does this and lots of other improvements. It is included in the "Rome: Enhanced" mod.

If you want to just remove the ping-ponging and leave everything else save game conpatible you can mod it yourself very easily. Open the txt. file "defines" in the "common" folder and change
0.1 # _MDEF_LAND_DAMAGE_MODIFIER_
to a higher number than "0.1". The higher the number the more casualties each side will suffer before their morale runs out and they retreat. I changed it to 0.3 with good results.
